Booked here for nights Tuesday and Wednesday 7th and 8th July. Arrived around 5.30pm and was promptly greeted by Ken the owner. We originally booked into a small double room but ken immediately upgraded is to a large double room with lovely double des plus single bed. Have got to say the room was slightly dated but spotlessly clean. We... More

Stopped for a single night ona charity ride. Staff (led by Ken) were all helpful and service was prompt, with smile. Rooms were ideal, with small touches including bottled water, and toiletries. Dinner in the bar went down well with us all. Great place to stay !

We visit occasionally for a meal and drinks, friendly and welcoming staff with good quality reasonably priced food in a pleasant atmosphere, eat in the bar area or in the separate restaurant well worth a visit. Plenty of parking available.

My wife and I stayed one night at the Manor House before visiting the Charles Jencks' Garden of Cosmic Speculation. From the minute we arrived we were made incredibly welcome by all the staff and ohr room was clean, comfortable and spacious with ensuite shower room. We opted to have dinner in the bar, though the food was exactly the... More

I recently stayed at the Manor Hotel & Restaurant with a colleague on a business trip to Dumfries. The hotel is about 15 minutes drive from the centre of Dumfries and is well worth the effort to get there. We were welcomed with open arms on our arrival by Ken, who runs the hotel with his wife. My only slight... More

Bit late with this review due to life events. I stayed here in October 2014 for my Uncle's funeral and I actually had the funeral party here too. The hotel was lovely but what made it so special was the warm welcome from the owner and his staff. He is a true entertainer and comedian and even loves "Take That".... More

My friend booked a girls night at the hotel as a celebration. There were 4 of us in total and we had the family room- 1 4-poster & 3 single beds in a huge room with seperate dressing area and large en-suite with shower over bath. The owner Ken (a self confessed Take That fan) was very hospitable, friendly and... More

"She who must be taken away for the weekend" and I booked this hotel for a weekend break. When we first arrived we were a little shocked by the condition of the buildings exterior, but we plucked up the courage to go in................ And boy were we surprised, the owner was extremely pleasant and having checked in showed us to... More

Stayed one night before flying on holiday, very good value, car parked for duration of holiday, room for the night and small scottish breakfast all included for a total of £69 . Hotel needs updating a bit, but clean bedding and welcoming staff. Would use this hotel again for the great value.
