Wow, what a lovely hidden gem. Nothing too fancy but just what you want in a cozy and comfortable, clean place. The reason I'm giving three stars however, is because a women spoke very disrespectfully to one of workers cleaning telling. She had a derogatory tone and seemed very arrogant. I later found out by asking that she was the wife of the owner. Its a shame to see the people who are the whole reason this place runs smoothly and make the ambient so friendly be spoken to that way. I hope she gets taken out this business so the workers can just continue working in peace and continue making this hotel great :)

Located on Arias Araguez street, Plaza de Armas is just 3 minutes away on foot! We paid 100/s($37 USD) for a double bed room with HOT HOT HOT shower and complimentary breakfast. Rooms weren't very spacious but were very cozy with private bathrooms. The best part of this hotel is its restaurant! All the food we tried tasted awesome and the price was very reasonable.(We had two BIG BIG bowls of Soup + Fried Chicken with fries + Beef with fries + two bottles of Inca Cola and it still cost less than $20 USD!) and the manager ELIAS was super great! He was the most hardworking person I've ever seen in South America! and it was really good to know he was actually enjoying his work!:) It was also 10 minute walk from the bus terminal! I would definitely come back here!

In clean, safe and friendly Tacna, the "Copacabana" is a good place to stay close to the town-center. It has a great value, the service is friendly, our doble con bano privado was big, clean and very well equipped.

Copacabana is an awesome place to see, my friend and I decided to reserve this place. The staff was very nice and attentive with all our desires.
We been to the Sun Island and Moon Island. My friend got sick and they don´t have any problem to help you find a Doctor. They speak English so that was easy to comunicate with them as our spanish is very bad.
A great place to stay!

I have stayed at Copacabana Hotel in Tacna several times, It is a small and reasonably inexpensive Hotel that puts a lot of effort into satisfying customers and making you feel at home.
Rooms are not too large and not luxuriously appointed, but, functional and clean. All rooms have a clean bathroom with lots of hot water! You will also find a TV set and cable TV in every room. Staff is attentive and very helpful at all times, making lots of effort into having their guests feel just like at home! Good food and service at inexpensive prices at the restaurant!
A 3 to 5 minute walk from the Plaza de Armas. Nice place to stay.

A very clean and comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.
The room was very good, with a huge wardrobe and a good-sized bathroom. The wi-fi was excellent and worked in the room.
Breakfast was good with fresh juice and bread and jam and hot drinks.
The whole place was spotless and the parquet floor was polished daily.
Good location about 10 mins to main plaza.

We stayed at this hotel for one night on our way to Arica in a double room ( room 101)

Good points - Central location , nice breakfast. Good shower with hot water

Bad points - dated 70s decor & walls very very thin. The restaurant looked promising but we discovered they actually had only couple of dishes on their menu available so ended up going elsewhere. We had noisy nights sleep due to music from the bar / people talking until after midnight. We were woken at 5am by a cockerel crowing repeatedly (unavoidable but still could have strangled it !) In the morning we were woken at 7am by people having breakfast literally outside our door ....

This place is ok for one night but don't stay longer.

It is a shame that the service at this hotel was so bad given how convenient it is. The receptionist who works in the evening gave me the worst treatment as a customer that I can remember in recent times.
