We were recently staying at this hotel, well located, 15 mins. by car from Barcelona, with various services in the immediate surroundings: 3 supermarkets, several restaurants, pharmacy, access to the motorway. Prices appropriate to the hotel's additional offerings, with a good breakfast, although not very varied. It has an outdoor space and a small wing, at the entrance, dedicated to children. Very comfortable and spacious beds, adequate size rooms, even for 3 people. Various extra services for a fee (e.g. different types of pillows, portable cooler rental, safe). Some spaces need a little maintenance, but nothing too eccentric.
A note about the amenities in the rooms: they only provide one large towel (for bath and face) per day and per person, and the bathroom does not have a toilet brush, for those who are used to having one.
The dining space has a microwave, which can be used to heat your own food, even if it is not purchased at the hotel.
Recommended!

It is outside the city of Barcelona but as we didn't want to stay in the center this option was excellent.
For those who are going to visit PortAventura, it is in an excellent location (in front of the road to the park) so you don't need to get into any traffic jams to leave Barcelona.
Around the hotel there are 3 large supermarkets (Mercadona, Aldi and Lidel), which is impressive as it helps travelers A LOT.
The hotel has free parking in front.
Next to the hotel there is also a Dominus pizzeria and a Japanese carvery restaurant that we ate on the first day and really liked.
The facilities are those of IBIS so you always know what you are going to receive (no more and no less).
The only good thing that we had that was different compared to other Ibis that we have stayed in was that in this one, as we had two rooms, they placed us at the end of the corridor and so we could close a door in the corridor, open the bedroom door, which allowed us to use part of the hallway as an extension of the bedroom (I loved the idea).
Anyway, I recommend visiting the Hotel.
NOTE: we went to the center of Barcelona by train (30 minutes) and a short walk to the station - all very good because the neighborhood is very beautiful

This is a friendly hotel, the staff were helpful. Rooms are basic but very clean. My room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was ok, enough variety to fuel you for the day.
It is important to note that the hotel is not in Barcelona. The trains are fairly easy to navigate though and the station is a steady 15 minute walk away, with Barcelona Sants a 25 minute journey away.
All in all a good experience.

Everything would have been fine if not for one incident. My husband and I went to bed and were already reaching out to turn off the light when the door opened (we had locked the door) and someone came in. Who it was was not visible, since there was a small dressing room in the room. I screamed in horror and someone came out and closed the door. The husband got up and looked out the door. A hotel employee stood there and apologized that he had mixed up the number.
I understand everything, different things happen, but it scared us very much. I slept and constantly woke up, listening to sounds, whether someone was breaking into our room again. The hotel didn't even offer me a cup of coffee for this.

We stayed one night as our flight arrived late in Barcelona. The hotel is 20 minutes drive from the airport. Parking in front of the hotel is free and we managed to find a space. The hotel is consistent with the others in the chain, it is not new but it is clean and comfortable. We even got a bottle of water in the room and 2 drinks instead of one as an All member. The exterior insulation is not very good, in the morning we could hear the traffic. The service was fast and professional. The rate we had emerita was 69 euros without breakfast.

I have come for a work trip several times and I am always delighted. Clean rooms, perfect breakfast and the staff has always been very friendly and helpful.
I definitely recommend it. The quality - price very consistent. And it is very well located, in a quiet area but less than 5 minutes from the center.

Very correct. Impeccable stay. We stayed 3 nights and we have no complaints. Clean and quiet rooms. Urban Hotel with a fairly good connection to Barcelona. Varied breakfast with gluten-free options, which was great for me.

We came from the north and stopped at Ibis Molins De Rei. The check in was fast, polite and with a smile, willing to assist at any question. We liked our room at the high floor that was very clean and with all the Ibis goodies in it, that we familiar with. We came with a car from A2 and the location was easy to find with a GPS. Also to drive south to Barcelona or Airport was easy with the GPS help.

HOTEL
The room is typical of ibis, with a large shower, however the floor was laminated wood and had a wooden chair near the dressing table which gave the room a cold look and feel, especially when the cleaner left the air con on.we have stayed in a ibis before but this room was not as comfy.
However the reception staff were freindly and helpfull giving us a map to the train station(10 minute walk)and a map of Barcelona and other info.
AREA
Molins de Rei is a mix of comercial and apartment blocks. We arrived around 11pm and took a short walk to find somewhere to eat, there is a chinese restaraunt up the road and the food was not good, the area near the hotel looks bleak at night and not much better during the day, however there are more shops and restaraunts towards the train station.
BARCELONA
The train from Molins costs 2.80 euros return(25 minutes)and the last train from barcelona is 2355 from sants station.
Atractions are expensive(at least 10 euros)
Parc Guell and Mont Tibidabo are worth a visit,as is the short train journey to Montserrat and Sitges which has a great beach.
Recomended restaraunt is EGIPTE(Las Ramblas 79)
Barcelona is very laid back city and a bit ecentric, look out for the guy who walks around the habour area stark naked!!
Beware of pick pockets,i had a rucksack on my back and i was waiting at traffic lights,i felt a tug on one of the zips,i turned around quickly and a women had her hand in mid air near my rucksack and quikly pulled her hand back. You will notice that alot of people carry front facing rucksacks. You also dont want to walk along the side streets off Las Ramblas at night, very dodgy looking people lurking along these streets!!!
The ibis is not a bad hotel as a base to explore Barcelona, however be aware when booking direct with the Ibis website as my partner booked some months in advance and when we got to the hotel we found out the transaction had not gone through and she had to pay for the room that night.Reception said that they dont take payment untill you arrive, however my partner said there was a pay now option on the website??

Dear Anibaddh,
We have a luggage room next to the recepción, so only you need to ask at the reception in the hotel.
Best regards,
Molins de Rei.
Good morning,
The hotel is 15KM from the airport. The cost of a taxi from the airport to the hotel is around € 40.
If you need any further information, please contact us.
Best regards,
You have to walk 10-15 minutes.
I hope I helped you.
Good afternoon,
You can rent a car but it's better by public transport for going from Barcelona. We have a train station at 12 minutes walking from the city center and after you can take the metro. When you arrive at our hotel, we can give you map of the public transport with all the information.
Best regards,
"Try getting the bigger room of travelling with luggage for a very small increase in cost the extra room comes in handy."Read full review
