These villas are just outstanding - high end architecture and furnishings, completely private, with your own personal, unique temperature-controlled cellar in the room, stocked full of over 60 local and international wines! What better way to sip a beautiful wine or sparkling on the deck, overlooking vineyards, an olive orchard and rolling hills with a beautiful sunset. And then to wake up to nothing but birdsong in the morning and tuck into a great breakfast with locally sourced provisions supplied! Peder and Lionel are discrete hosts and also offer a personalised tasting of their Heathcote II wines in the winery a short stroll away. An absolutely wonderful two-day stay!

The ultimate in relaxation and indulgence. Superbly designed and thoughtfully equipped cottages replete with a stunning central cellar, make for a wonderful, cossetting experience. It was quite unexpected to find this level of sophistication in a secluded, off-grid location. Superb bed, brilliant wood fire, premium appliances, underfloor heating in the fantastic bathroom, delicious provisions, and above all, the spectacular cellar full of treasures for those who love wine. The hosts are smart and discreet, and their own wine is outstanding. One of the very best.

The accommodation is absolute perfection. Very elegantly done and the attention to detail is apparent everywhere you look. Great shower and good quality bathroom amenities. Very comfortable bed and the views are superb. Breakfast supplies including home made jam were very welcomed and enjoyed. The wine cellar on the room is a lovely touch and we enjoyed a delicious bottle of their own wine looking out over the fields. We also did a tasting while we were here and enjoyed every single wine we tasted. This place is a real treat and very reasonably priced for the standard of accommodation.

The Cellars at Heathcote II is one of those rare places that we discovered by accident and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique, quiet and stylish place to stay and unwind. The accommodation is of a very high standard and the hosts Lionel and Peder should be commended on their attention to detail that ensures their guests are rewarded with a truly special experience. The panoramic views over the olive groves and vineyards, the in room wine cellar, enormous bathroom with heated floor, fantastic deck and delicious breakfast provisions made the stay so special. Many thanks for a wonderful stay Lionel and Peder and opening the cellar door for a private tasting! We will think of your slice of paradise each time we open a bottle and hope to be back.

The perfect escape. The furnishings, the building, the location, the wine and the hosts - all wonderful. It was sooo great to sit and just watch the vista.
Loved that there was no TV, the sounds system allowed us to play our own music. great provisions for brekky, including eggs and coffee, and a little kitchen that you could also whip up something small.
The communications with Lionel were excellent and fast, even during all the messes of lockdowns etc.

We had a lovely weekend away at The Cellars at Heathcote II and could not recommend this stay more highly. Lionel & Peder provided ample information prior to arrival about the check in process and facilities available at the property. On arrival, the property was easy to locate from the instructions provided (we had number 1) and there was a parking spot right outside the door of our stand alone room.

From the minute we walked in we were blown away by the view over the olive grove and vineyards of the Heathcote region. The room had everything you needed, an extremely comfortable king sized bed, beautiful bathroom complete with shower and bath, private balcony including a BBQ, and kitchen with induction cooktop, microwave, kettle and delicious breakfast provisions. Of course the main attraction was the in-built cellar taking pride of position in the room, and although we didn't partake in any of the wines, there was a lovely selection of local and international wines. Additionally there was a small selection of spirits for purchase in the room including one of my person favourites from the local Animus gin distillery.

While staying at the Cellars, a visit to the Heathcote II winery is a must and we were lucky to have a one-on-one tasting with Peder, the winemaker and one of the owners.

Overall this is a wonderful property for anyone wanting a romantic getaway while visiting the Heathcote region. We could not fault anything about our stay.

We have stayed in Heathcote for over 5 years at different locations but never here before. We have been to Heathcote 11 on wine tours and said we would stay "one day". Last weekend was that one day (only it was two nights). We were looking for a quiet, relaxing weekend and we got it! The accommodation was superb. Toiletries to die for! Bath towels excellent quality. No TV - no problems, we streamed the tennis final through the laptop. Everything was spot on, loved browsing through the wine cellar. We brought up our own antipasto platters for both nights and chose champagne and wine from the cellar. Breakfast on the deck - fantastic! Being involved in the planning/building industry we had an appreciation of the construction of the units and surrounds with regard to bushfire protection. We will definitely be back. By the way, the apricot jam is to die for! Well done gentlemen, sorry we didn't have time to come to the cellar door for tastings, but we will next time. Keep up the good work!

We booked at short notice for Valentine's day so were lucky to get in. The 4 Villas are at the back of the property so quiet and peaceful with lovely views and have been fitted out to a very high standard with everything that could be needed for a short stay.
The decks are perfect and equipped with BBQ's so the need to venture off for dinner is eliminated, especially welcome after a tough day wine tasting.
Lionel and Peder were perfect hosts and provided both a warm welcome and a strong sense of desire to make our stay enjoyable.
The wine is a treat too, the HD Shiraz especially, and the Tempranillo is great value.
In short, go, visit, relax and enjoy!

Loved our weekend away at this gorgeous place. The cabins we stayed in exceeded our expectations. All class from the bathrooms to the inbuilt Cellar! All facilities were there without the need to bring anything. Clean and comfortable with gorgeous view to enjoy. Enjoyed the wine tasting on site and Peder was very accomodating and knowledgeable. We will be back for sure

The most amazing gem only a short drive from Heathcote. A beautiful setting amongst the vines and olive groves. Beautifully appointed villa with amazing attention to detail from the fully stocked wine fridge, gorgeous open fire and the most comfortable chairs over looking an awesome vista. The heated floor in the bathroom was the best on a frosty morning and we had the best local produce provided for our breakfast. Lionel & Peder were fabulous hosts and we loved the wine tasting at the cellar door. We will be back soon ...
