I picked this hotel for my group of 10 because from the reviews it offered a pool and a beautiful, clean, Blue Flag beach which is truly a gem. However, one of our group has limited mobility and uses a cane. She was not able to get down the 144 random, stairs to either the pool or the beach without...

We didn't stay at the hotel but we are locals and we made a visit there for swimming and lunch. The restaurant of the hotel is close to the beach and has a very nice view and friendly atmosphere. The service was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had fresh fish, cooked very nice with wonderful...

Spend 7 nights at this hotel in June 2012. Hotel room was quite basic with old furniture, tiny tv that had poor signal, and small fridge wich was very useful. We had sea view room with little balcony, the view was beautiful. Room was cleaned everyday, we didnt spend much time there so even its a small room we didnt...

WE had an excellent week at Glicorisa Beach. The place is about 2.5 km away from Pythagorio, which means it is really quite, no car noise nothing. However it is close enough to hop into the next taxi (5 Euros) to get to town for dinner or drinks. The hotel is 3-star-standard with smallish, but ok rooms. All clean and...

We had our accomodation booked and paid for via a travel agent in Turkey. On arrival the receptionist (who was very pleasant) couldn't find our booking, so she asked us to wait while she got the manager. Manager arrived and proceeded to yell at us saying he had no record of booking and even if he did we would have...

Our stay in Glicorisa Hotel was the worst and most expensive experience from all our vacantions in Greece. No elevator for luggages, very poor breakfast, bad smell in the bathroom, air conditioned very noisy like a not effective engine of the airplane, the beach is unsupervised and with low level people, too high prices at the bar and restaurant for...

I really liked this place. Hotel beach was one of the better organized hotel beaches i have been to, and most people were hotel guests. Service was great. I did not understand why this hotel was ranked C by greek classification, since the hotel was certainly as good as any 4-star hotel, exept for the standard of the rooms, which...

Well we wanted to visit the beach at Glicorisa Bay Hotel today, which has a so called blue Flag placing it to the "clean" beaches. We had a small dog with us. The Hotel Manager appeared after a while, wanting to grab the dog and take it away. He was aggressive and hostile, even brought his Muscled-Beefy Bodyguards and threatened...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Think of a verdant hillside, full of olive trees and pines that gently slopes towards a small private beach, embraced by the amazing blue waters of the Aegean. Imagine a mild development on a human scale that blends with the landscape stretching over four acres of lush Mediterranean gardens. Dream of genuine Greek hospitality, passed down from generation to generation, and of an unpretentious, heartfelt service that only a true family business can really provide. Come to Akti Glicorisa and together we will create memories of an unforgettable vacation. The panoramic view of the deep blue Aegean Sea sooths the senses and allows the eye to rest on the far horizon, while a riot of colors and fragrances from hundreds of different flowers and plants create a relaxing and rejuvenating environment. Our beachfront swimming pools -a large 240m2 one for adults and a smaller one for children- add their own azure shade of blue to the overall atmosphere of carefree relaxation, composing along with the stone-paved pathways and the lovingly tended gardens a serene and refreshing setting. Our renowned Blue Flag beach is one of the island's most beautiful. Offering fine sand laced with small pebbles and calm, shallow waters, it is ideal for endless play, carefree leisure or active recreation for both the young and the young at heart. Especially for children, we have created a wonderful playground they can enjoy all day long. All our rooms offer modern amenities, including satellite tv, air-conditioning and in room safe, while our personnel is on call and at your service around the clock. The Akti Glicorisa experience is not complete without sampling the wide selection of culinary delights offered by our deluxe restaurant and seaside bar -from local specialties and exotic cocktails to exquisite dishes of international cuisine or light meals prepared with loving care. One of the reasons we are consistently preferred by guests visiting Samos is the quality of our services. Because for us there are no 'customers,' just friends whom we care for as if they were family. The Akti Glicorisa Hotel is ideally located, just 3km from picturesque Pythagorio and 10km from the island's capital Vathi. Equally accessible, the airport and the main port are only 10 and 15 minutes away, while the close by (400m) country road connecting Vathi and Pythagorio via regular bus service can take you to the island's hot spots within minutes. As the sun goes down and the beach umbrellas are closed, prepare for an exciting night out on the island, knowing that tomorrow another day of absolute relaxation awaits in the enchanting atmosphere of the Glikorisa Beach Hotel. ... more   less
