This is a very conveniently located facility which is looking tired and dated now, however it is really clean and provides a good level of amenity for the price. Best feature is its location, and size of apartment, with a reasonable kitchen, laundry and bathroom. Some road noise for the bedrooms facing the main road.
Something to be aware of - there are stairs only from the secure carpark, which if you have heavy luggage will be a nuisance. Best to offload heavy luggage from your car before you enter the carpark gate, if you have multiple people, then you can wheel luggage through the streetside entrance and into the central courtyard. There are still stairs, but not as many as the carpark is underground.
Ask for ground floor if you don’t want lots of stairs, and the units at the back are quieter as they don’t face the main road. Great food and liquor shopping within a short walk, and access to the M1 freeway is fantastic, with public transport options not too far away as well.

It could be a very nice flat, it's a bit dated and needs some love. TV was dicky, instructions were useless, not for that TV, advertises free high speed wifi, couldn't connect, all that came up was the office printer, so no wifi for two days. Nice kitchen but light on with utensils etc. Dicky wiring in the lounge, the TV keep cutting out, power points are in the skirting boards low to floor, so they're useless in the bedrooms if your chargers are long or the ports are at the bottom and not the side.. Bathroom was dated and a bit shabby, shower in the bath which is fine, but no handrails, and dated glass screens, so stepping down on to glossy wet tiles is a potential slipping hazard. Sparsely and blandly furnished, the lounge suite was nice enough but very low which made it difficult to get in and out of, even for the vertically challenged person. Good sized fridge but blown light globes in kitchen. It can be noisy at night in the courtyard. Supermarket nearby and 711, which is convenient. It's advertised as serviced apartments, but the minimum must be more than 2 days, we had no servicing at all. Not the worst place I've stayed at but it was a bit disappointing for the money. Staff were okay but the cleaner got antsy because we weren't moving quickly enough even though checkout was 10. We cleaned the place ourselves anyway.

The hotel is located conveniently near a shopping mall with lots of places to eat. There are supermarkets within a few minutes walk in both directions, which was very convenient. The train station into the city is around a 10 minute walk away so good connections available too.
The apartment itself felt spacious and had all the required amenities, with a fully functional kitchen, along with washing facilities and liquid etc. The beds were comfy and were nicely separate from the main living area, which made it feel more luxurious than a studio. There was a small balcony area at the front of the apartment which was good for eating breakfast, and people watching in the street below.
The basement parking also provides a stress free area to park your vehicle, and has a gate access for extra security.
This is overall a great base for Melbourne, and easy access to drives outside the city such as the Great Ocean Road to the west and Phillip Island to the east. For dinner, there are a number of conveniently located restaurants a short drive away, or a multitude of options available on apps like uber eats for so you definitely wont go hungry either!

I am currently staying here, just for one night, thank goodness. Very, very dirty. There are questionable stains on the couch cushions and bedding. Both inside the kitchen cupboards and fridge look like they haven’t had a wipe down in years. There are huge patches on the carpet throughout that honestly look like blood stains and it’s creeping me out. Bloody fingerprints on the blinds. Cobwebs everywhere. I can’t relax because I feel like anything I touch in this place will give me some sort of infection. The walls need a paint, there are scruff marks and holes everywhere. No screens on the windows so you can’t even open them without letting flies and bugs inside. Good location, that’s basically it.

The Hawthorn Appartments look good on paper but in reality it was a thorough disappointment. On entering our apartment, there was a mouldy smell, the carpets were dirty and there were nails that were coming out of the carpet between the main room and kitchen. The kitchen was not clean and the cupboards were sticky. The bathrooms were filled with mould and overall were unclean. The toilet roll holder was broken, the hand towels were not in the best condition and there were watermarks everywhere. The exhaust in the bathroom was laden and clogged with dust so it wasn’t working effectively. The window seals were covered with dust and the bedroom that I slept in had no electric sockets. The only good thing about these apartments was the location. I will not stay here again.

The place was not clean and the smell when you opened the door was disgusting. The layer of dust on the fridge and microwave was in need a of a clean … there was also food spattered in the microwave which was not cleaned either .. That was enough for me … I will not mention the mould in the bathroom . When I was driving out there was another couple who had similar issues to me so not a one off

I was dismayed to have experienced the worst customer service with the serviced apartments, where my calls to check in were constantly ignored and when it was attempted for my family to book in, I was advised in the most rude and disrespectful manner that he wouldn't be coming back to assist because it was 30kms away and he didn't want to.
When I mentioned the booking said after 2pm check in, he advised that they finish at 2:30pm and we would need to call and book a time. I advised that we would be happy with a time later that evening/night, but he rudely dismissed me, advising he wouldn't listen to my concerns, implying rude things about me before hanging up.
Anytime I raise the consideration of a refund, he advised that I need to call the booking service I used.
Honestly, whilst I am sure the apartment are lovely, I would advise people to shy away to prevent you having to experience the type of customer service I did. I hope they think about this moving forward as the stay isn't just about the bed you sleep in but the service you experience whilst there.

It is a great location and the off street underground parking is very convenient. Rooms are comfortable, if not a little old and dated.
Biggest drawback was the terra-cotta internal courtyard that echoed every step and voice all through the night. The fact that one of the apartments pulled an all nighter with visitors coming and going till 7am really tainted our stay. Unfortunately, we will never return.

apartment well cleaned, staff really friendly, the property is very close to the place we are going to visit. Close to shopping centers and restaurant. the apartment is self contained so you can cook your meals and do the laundry yourself, and we will definitely come back again.

The apartments were nothing like shown on their web page. The apartment was 2 storeys with the bedrooms upstairs & a steep & dark stairway. The web page did not mention 2 storeys.
You could not read the dials of the stove because they had worn off. Consequently you could not tell the temperature or if you were using the grill. Most unsatisfactory! Also, we could not get the T/V to work; the instructions were for a different brand of T/V and even the Manager had trouble getting it to work the following morning
