Location was great. Staff was rude, rooms were not equipped with fans as was stated on their listing. Bathrooms were dirty with black mold on the walls and ceiling. Wifi was very spotty. Other guests seemed to be long term and not social like at other hostels. The music was a perk, but did not outweigh the negatives. Would not...

Old old school pub with rockin bands. It's grungy and dark. It's noisy and sometimes crowded. It's a great pit stop. Saw 3 bands, strong drinks and easy cab access when it seemed like a good idea to go home. Will be back.

I lived in this hostel for a bit more than 5 months! One of the best experience of my life. The owners Guy and Tiff make you fell at home, and they always treated me like i was part of their family. Great music downstairs at the pub every night free for the backpackers. There are also a big deals...

I stayed at the Bendigo Hotel for about a week in August 2014 and thought it was great. It's budget backpacker style accommodation above the pub. The pub is a live music venue (and a very good one if you like your Metal/Rock/Punk) so you will have loud music on most nights. For me that was certainly one of the...

Bendigo backpackers is a great way to spend some time with some great characters from all over the world. Service always comes with a smile and the half price food downstairs is delicious. I definitely wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!

I enjoyed my stay in the Bendigo! Was greeted by lovely staff and shown to an alright looking room! It was a bit dirty, food in the room, maybe a bit smelly but i didn't mind... It was spacious, 2 pillows, free wifi, free gigs downstairs almost every night, good bar deals for people staying in the hostel, bathrooms were...

After booking, Tiff the manager, emailed me. She told me that below the hostel is a pub and they are playing most of the times hardrock music (or whatever it may be) till 2 AM in the night. My sister and I agreed just to go (with ear plugs). Anyway. When we arrived Tiff explained us everything. So was really...

I’ve stayed in literally hundreds of hostels all over the world, but this is honestly, without exaggeration, the dirtiest hostel I’ve ever seen. I have literally never seen anything like it in my travels. I arrived, and greeted by the lovely staff member who showed me my dorm, to which I was flabbergasted. I let out an “Oh my god”...

Certainly one of, if not the, best hostels I have ever stayed in. Tiff, the manager, is great and helps to create a brilliant atmosphere around the place. There's a long list of awesome films to watch and the character of the place is just perfect. The backpackers also get use of the hotel's large commercial kitchen, a vast improvement...
