Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped in for a night while traveling up the Australian Coast. From the moment we arrived, we knew this would be a relaxing stay. Gorgeous mountain views as well as a picturesque sunrise made our stay so reviving. I love capturing photos of every place we visit and this one had ample opportunities from the colorful flowers to the wild, exotic birds that engulfed the trees. Our hostess was very gracious and made sure our needs were well taken care of. We were visiting from the States and hoping to have Wifi since we opt not to turn on phones and pay for international roaming, but they were having problems with their wifi. No worries though...we enjoyed being social media free for a night. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

What a great little park. Del the manager is so friendly and helpful. It was an easy site to park. The site had a little table and chairs so we didn't have to unpack ours. The showers were very clean looked like they have just been renovated. We were given vouchers for free garlic bread at the pub, buy one get one free coffee at the local cafe. Friendly little town.

It’s lovely to be able to stay in comfortable, spotlessly clean cabins with our beloved pooch. He loves the very large off leash dog areas, where he can run around safely anytime.
Del and Kev are very helpful and friendly and always welcoming. We will continue to come back and highly recommend the park.

If you want a quiet place to refresh from the rigours of the drive, then dont stop here. The amenities are clean and welcoming and the owners have thoughtfully made a little walk up a hill to a viewing point which is marked by solar lights at night. A well set up camp kitchen and a share library as well. The owners are friendly and strive to be helpful but the constant unceasing rumble and roar of trucks on the highway and the whine, squeal and horns of the freight trains on the nearby line were upsetting and uncomfortable for me. I became quite unwell and was pleased to leave.

Thankyou Lorraine. So sorry that your stay was not as enjoyable as we strive for our guests to have. Thankyou for acknowledging the positives too as for most guests these more than make up for the intermittent traffic noise. Hoping you are now recovered and that in future you are able to find a convenient stop off away from any noise. For potential guests reading this review who are sensitive to road noise please be aware of our location and book in advance if possible, requesting a site further from the road - if available we will do our best to accommodate you. If we could teleport such guests a couple of kilometres inland away from the highway to improve their experience, believe me we would. We can offer a friendly welcome, affordable stay fees, clean amenities, a secure gated petfriendly park, abundant birdlife, beautiful scenery, and pretty gardens, all presented with a smile.

Well maintained park with polite owners/managers and helpful maintenance person. Gardens well kept. Ablutions block pretty modern, clean and well kept. Combined camp kitchen/laundry basic but adequate. Two washing machines (4x$1 coins) and one drier (2x$2 coins) did the job. No hot water for washing machines or sink but jug available to boil water for washing up. My powered Campervan site wasn’t the grassy site I expected but was on the side of the road inside the park with a large raised concrete platform beside with with two outdoor chairs and a table provided. Constant semi-trailer all night traffic prevented good sleep.

It's the little touches that make this park special, - the fluffy bath mats in the shower stalls, the provision of a shower chair for those who may need to sit down, the clean tea towels and supply of detergent in the spotless kitchen. And of course the scenery! Despite being next to the Bruce Highway, the park is surrounded by bush and beautiful gardens, with a lovely off leash walking track for our four legged companions. Teena and Geoff make you feel welcome the moment you arrive and ensure your stay is pleasant and memorable. There are regular "bush poetry" readings, pleasant outdoor spaces where guests can relax or mingle, and fire pits for chilly evenings. I am currently here for a week, having driven from Adelaide on the way to Far North QLD. Whether you stay only one night or longer, you are going to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and friendly reception!

We needed a bed for the night and booked in online late in the afternoon. We have stayed in many motels and cabins that have been more expensive but this is the cleanest and most well appointed that we have stayed in. Well done to the owners/managers.

Extremely friendly and helpful owners, had a small cosy cabin with on suit bathroom. Lovely smell of locally made soap, very clean cabin and beautifully decorated, very comfortable beds, kitchen had everything needed including large fridge/freezer. Highly recommend staying here and don't miss the view of Mt Larcom at the top of the park especially at sunset or walking up Mt Larcom ( some fitness required).

What a wonderful relaxed (and relaxing) small CP this is !!

We had the absolute pleasure to spend 4 nights here in May and could have easily remained a few more nights. Set on the highway north of Gladstone, the park is small (but sites large enough for our 9mtr MH), very neat, impeccably clean and exceptionally well run by Geoff and Teena - WELL DONE to you both.

We arrived on a Friday and were welcomed with a Bush Poet evening under the stars, complete with campfire and sausage sizzle.

If you have the time, don't pass this one by.

David and Anne

Travelling with our 4 month old baby we randomly found this place as we needed to find somewhere to pull in for the night and fast. We were so lucky to find this place. What a gem. We stayed in a cabin and it was so clean and nicely presented it looked new.

There is a pub in Mount Larcom (the Royal Hotel) you can stop at for dinner which was also really great.

A no brainer if you’re thinking of stopping in. Do it.
