I was skeptical about the place before the visit. But I had a very good time there. They lost 1 star for the food, cause it was mediocre at best. All other services are superb. The area is nice and quiet for a complete relaxing gateway experience. Nice pond where you can feed ducks and swans. I heard summer time is their busiest time, but fall was not as crowded.overall a Great place for a relaxing gateway or medical rehabilitation.
My Belorussian partner persuaded me to go on a holiday in her home country. She said that Belorussian celebrities go to this 'spa hotel' (if you can call it that) and I thought ok, i'll give it a chance. My god - what a dreadful place this is. The roads at the hotel are all derelict and look a complete mess, so a very unwelcome start. Once we walked into the reception - we were instantly surrounded with disfigured old people in robes and slippers. I felt like I was in some old peoples home, and felt very uncomfortable. But I thought - no I cant judge just from these two bad experiences and would give it a further chance. We then went to view our room via some awful un-welcoming dark hallways. The room was the best they had, costing over £200 per night. We felt the decor was very out-dated, the view was terrible, overlooking some nasty building that has been built right in front. There was a mini bar but everything in it was ridiculously expensive. The shower / bath was poorly fit together and leaked on the floor. The bed was too hard. The staff did bring us a bowl of fruit which I thought was nice, but you'd expect something more luxurious, like a bottle of champagne, then again it is a spa hotel - so ok. Not great, but the room was more or less satisfactory. We then went to the 'restaurant' to have some food... We discovered it was not a restaurant, but a horrendous canteen. There was no freshly made-to-order food. The food just looked awful. I put my plate down and refused to eat any of it. I went back to our room and ate the bowl of fruit. I was getting quite annoyed at this point. I then thought - ok lets take this opportunity to consider this experience as a bit of a detox and have 5 healthy days of diet, exercise, massages, etc. We then went to see the doctor to book some appointments. We really wanted to have an ultra-scan done, but unfortunately the machine was broken, and they could not confirm when it would be fixed. We were only offered massages, that's it! You'd expect more at Belarus's best spa hotel.... We then went to look at the 'gym'.... Again - the worst gym I've ever been to. It looked like it was never used. We had to switch the lights on as we went in. The few machines they did have were old pieces of crap. Id expect top of the line stuff for the money. There were no weights, mirrors, no ventilation, no windows, no music, NO WATER! I thought f**k this, I am not wasting my time trying to exercise in this gym. So we left. We then thought - Right - Can we go for a walk!?? At this point, I was really loosing hope. We knew there was a lake nearby, so thought ok lets go there. We walked outside the hotel, past the hotel built right in front.. then tried to find some sort of direction (signs would help). Its such a mess... We ended up just walking around the 2nd hotel and eventually got to the lake. When I think of a lake in the woods, I think nature. What had they done to the lake!! - They had concreted all the way round it, so it looked like a big nasty artificial swimming pool. We couldn't even enjoy the simple pleasure of looking at a natural lake. The concrete was seriously ugly and ruined the view. We walked over the horrible concrete bridge and thought ok - lets walk through the woods for a bit. This was f**king awful as we were chased by loads of mosquito's. My partner and I were so miserable by this point. We did a big circle round the hotel and went straight back in. We then complained to reception and kindly requested to leave (but of course we wanted our money back). We had to write a note to the director explaining why we wanted our money back. We were then told we had to wait until 10am the next day to find out his decision. We then went for a swim. The pool was small and mediocre. The sauna was fine. The shower was ok. No Luxury at all. I have no idea why this place has nearly 5 stars... what is wrong with you people? its the worst spa hotel ever!…
Very good place to stay :) especialy very helpful staff. I left a few items in the room and thanks to Oksana and Anna for delivering them back to me! That was really nice from your side! thank you again!
The facilities were quite nice and updated. I stayed in a family room which consisted of two bedrooms and a full bath. The only shortfall for the room was there were no complimentary tea and coffee offerings. We had to "strongly" request until they were provided (the electric teapot was included). The room, pool, and spa facilities were all clean, up to date, and comfortable. On the downside, the food and selections for the buffet were less than expected and the quality was only average. The salads were typically good but the rest of the offerings were typically average. One other note, coffee is only served in the morning and if you want it with any other meal, you must purchase it at one of the "bars".
We spent 11 wonderful days between different baths (incl mud ones), massages and exercises. Exarta was def a highlight, helped me to recover after pregnancy and 1st year of motherhood. Highly recommended, thank you, Valentina! Baby friendly place with playrooms Bd everything you may need for you little ones. Very professional and friendly team. We had a very good time here and hoping to return soon.
