Our two nights at Forest Walks Lodge were just not enough! The location, nestled beneath the spectacular escarpment of the Great Western Tiers is a delight. The lodge's rooms are designed to take full advantage of the great setting with splendid views of the brooding mountain massif that dominates the southern aspect. Our hosts Sean and Rosemary made us welcome...

I cannot rate this retreat highly enough. From the menu designed to feature the home grown organic garden produce paired with the best of Tasmania's iconic meats and seafood, to the intelligent lodge design & maintenance, this is what "Eco" tourism is meant to reflect. The location is stunning with plenty of activities and sights to satisfy the nature lover...

Isolated charming place to stay. Nice views, wildlife. Walks right out of the house through fantastic forest. Spacious rooms, nice and comfortable common area, wonderful breakfast. The hosts are great: full of information, engaging, charming. An option is to have dinner in. Do it. Fixed three course. Excellent beautiful delicious. Worth every penny.

Fabulous eco-lodge an hour from Launceston in the World Heritage Area with amazing bush and wildlife run by highly knowledgable environmentalists who cook great local food. In terms of a Tassie bush retreat, what more could you ask for? Rosemary and Sean set up their lodge to showcase the natural environment and lead walks in the surrounding forests. This is...

We enjoyed our lovely getaway weekend at the Forest Walks Lodge. The location, accommodation, food, wine and hosts Sean and Rosemary made this experience truly memorable and totally relaxing. The location, the forest and the walks make this a fantastic natural Tasmanian experience with a touch of class. You must go!

My six girlfriends and I spent a magical long weekend at Forest Walks Lodge celebrating 10 years since completing our HSC. 'The Lodge' was perfect. Quiet, peaceful, amazing food and beautiful surrounds. Rosemary and Sean where wonderful hosts and great fun to chat to about the history of Tasmania and the amazing World Heritage Environment around the lodge. I would...

We stayed for 3 nights in December during a 1 week trip to Tasmania. Sean and Rosemary are wonderful hosts, and we greatly enjoyed our walks with Sean, in no small part due to Sean's sharing his knowledge about the surrounding ecosystem. Overall, everything about the place is fabulous: the deluxe room; the food; the atmosphere. We recommend it highly.

We have stayed at this lodge twice and enjoyed the experience immensely on both occasions. The remoteness of the location, although not far from Deloraine, allows you to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. There are several short bush walks around the lodge and longer walks within easy driving distance. The lodge is eco-friendly and because of the location there...

These guys really dressed up for dinner. We still have a pink silk bow tie to prove it. If you too would like a special dinner let us know. Bring some friends for a special weekend like bobandannie.

We were heading to Forest Walks Lodge which I had booked due to the many good reviews on Trip advisor. We drove in late one afternoon. There had been a large storm the night before and the unsealed road, (which was way off the beaten track), was littered with branches and leaves. Our petrol was low, there was no mobile...

I organised a stay here as part of birthday trip to Tasmania for my adult son due to his passion for sustainable living and environmental conservation. We were not disappointed as Sean and Rosemary are dedicated to the 'eco' philosophy and in fact have a vast amount of experiences living and working 'green'. The lodge itself is very comfortable, clean...
