I have been meaning to write this review since returning from SA but life happens :-) We booked the Olive Suite, Maple suite, Orange Suite and the Champagne Room as we were a group of 7 adults and 3 children. All suites booked were fabulous and we had a very warm welcome from Mavis who made our stay so warm and enjoyable. Well equipped huge suites, all very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The beds were all so comfortable and everything was just super. The bathrooms were all well stocked with toiletries and every room had a welcome basket of treats and a bottle of wine. Very generous gestures. We felt so at home and the place has a beautiful garden and swimming pool. We felt totally safe and had no complaints at all. We had an unfortunate, unexected situation while on this vacation which meant a change in our accommodation booking and David and Mavis were so accommodating and understanding which we so appreciated. The place was so quiet and peaceful. we were actually sad to leave and we would 100% return to Angus 27a should we ever travel to Johannesburg again. Ceos booked employees lat at night, the lodge was extremely helpful to accommodate us late at night. Ensuring a comfortable stay. Very clean and spacious. Great, comfortable rooms! From booking the room, to our stay, I really felt so looked after. I felt like I was in a sanctuary after checking in.
The complimentary treats and drinks on arrival were a really nice surprise.

Has to rate as one of the worst places I have ever had the misfortune to rent. The room was infested by cockroaches, cupboard doors chipped and in need of paint, cupboard doors don't close, a mechanical pump in Cupboard. Absolutely appalling. David wood not available to speak to and refused refund through the very pleasant Mevis on site. I visited to attend my mother's funeral for a short period and had I stayed longer would definitely reported him to the health department. Unsafe for children in that rooms open directly onto pool with no fence. Illegal in most civilised countries in the west!

A FRAUDULENT REVIEW, WE WILL NOT BE BLACKMAILED. Why are you hiding behind an incomplete name Mr Charalambos ? In your own words, you were "delighted" with the accommodation on day one as well as day two. You even commented on how clean it was. And so you should have been delighted as all our guests are. A beautifully decorated 70 sqm suite, with 65" HD TV, 400 premium bouquet DSTV channels and free high speed wifi, a welcome basket of handpicked snacks, drinks, flowers, wine and complimentary mini bar. A private first floor balcony overlooking a Hollywood pool and landscaped garden & a "ginormous" luxury bathroom. Of course you were delighted, who wouldn't be? But suddenly and without notice or any communication at all, and in the dead of night on the second day of a two room 3 night reservation, you silently vacate. Even cockroaches make more noise than you did when you left, WHY SO SURREPTITIOUSLY? This sir, was the right time to call us to complain about the "infestation of cockroaches". NOT on the third day, when you DEMAND a refund with bullying and threats! At the same time you complained that our rates are "so high" and guess what, "I've found much cheaper accommodation elsewhere", - no kidding? When asked for proof of the cockroaches, maybe a photo, maybe a dead cockroach or 50, after all the room was "infested" you had NONE, you had NOTHING to say. Cockroaches DO NOT INFEST CLEAN places. After 4 years and thousands of guests, we have not had one single complaint about cleanliness. How could we, we use earbuds and alcohol to clean every nook and cranny. The fact is Sir, that you didn't call me or Mavis when you left, because you found cheaper accommodation and thought you could intimidate us into refunding you. Not only was your room immaculately clean, it was upstairs on a balcony, so the claim of your room leading on to the pool is also false! Not only did you not find a single cockroach in the SECOND room you booked for your sister, or your room for that matter, but you also choose to insult our beautiful country.

e were checked in efficiently and quickly. The room upgrade was wonderful and was a very comfortable beautifully decorated spacious room With classy finishes. There were some drinks and snacks waiting for us with coffee, tea and rusks. Lovely fresh flowers too. Huge TV screen with good selection. WiFi nice and fast too. Generator kicked in when the power went off. Quiet secure area.

We were met by Mevis who was cheerful and helpful. Our accommodation was of the highest quality, very clean and a great location.The extra little treats in the room were so appreciated. Chocolates, fruit and juice available to us. I would definitely recommend it.
