This review is long overdue but I’m reviewing Muyuna Lodge as this was THE highlight of our month long trip of many wonders with the possible exception of Machu Pichu. My husband & i began the Peru part of our trip with Iquitos & Muyuna in mid sept 2015. After endless research on TA i booked with Muyuna as it... More

My parents and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Muyuna. We spent 3 nights and 4 days with them. Every morning, afternoon, and night was a new adventure. The excursions by foot and by boat were so much fun. Everyday, we saw amazing animals, trees, and plants. We even swam in the Amazon (never thought I'd do that!). Our... More

My husband and I stayed for 5 days, 4 nights at Muyuna Lodge back in August 2015 (late review I know)! Everyone and everything was wonderful! All the staff were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Our guide Alain was helpful, great at spotting wildlife, funny, and spoke excellent English with some very interesting stories. The excursions were fun but you were... More

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at Muyuna Lodge in Sept 2016. One of the reasons we chose Muyuna was they had a specific birdwatching tour package. This was our second visit to Perú and the jungle. Our bird guide, Moises, was outstanding. We were very impressed with his knowledge and ability. With his assistance we saw 130+ species,... More

My husband and I had an incredible experience at Muyuna! Every person we worked with from Muyuna was so friendly and helpful; from Rocio (who helped us make our booking and hotel reservation), and the driver (whose name I sadly forgot), to all the staff at the lodge, and of course our fabulously eagle-eyed guide, Francisco! We chose this lodge... More

There is nothing to fault at Muyuna Lodge - and not much to add to what everyone else has said! It really is that good. Our guide Luis was passionate, enthusiastic and seemingly had x-ray vision with his innate ability to spot animals three trees deep in the forest. He clearly loved showing us around and was the highlight of... More

Muyuna was absolutely everything that I'd hoped for. Knowledgeable guide, great food, very nice room, well-run and well-maintained. More than I expected were the reliably hot showers, enough light to read by at night, hammocks, very well-screened "bungalow". We did everything that was advertised on the 6 day, 5 night option, including an overnight camping trip. On the overnight, we... More

I agree with most of the reviews below. Except for the recent review complaining about not enough wildlife. We saw 5 species of monkeys, 3 Sloths, several different small mammals (jungle rats, squirrels, etc), frogs (from the size of your thumbnail, to dinner plate size), a caimen, tarantula, pink and gray river dolphins, iguana, tons of fish, bats, crazy insects,...
