We couldn't have asked for more from Richard or Sandra, they even went the extra mile of supplying gluten free snacks as my wife...

For all the right reasons, our first stay in a "proper" bed and breakfast was utterly memorable. Having no previous experience with bed and breakfasts, we didn't know what to expect. But Richard and his wife instantly made us forget any worries we had, offering a fantastically warm welcome; offering to help with bags before showing us through their beautiful...

We received a lovely friendly welcome from Richard and Sandra. The Haven room is fantastic, spacious modern and spotless. The bathrobes and slippers were a great touch as was the Expresso machine and also the small fridge. The wet room was fabulous and again spotless with lovely fresh smelling fluffy towels and great underfloor heating. And WOW at the hot...

Myself and my boyfriend booked a one-night stay at Birdsong Cottage for a last minute, mini break. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, which was highlighted by a relaxing starry night in the hot tub. I was impressed by the lovely little touches, like the little pots of sweets and home made biscuits. Whilst we were impressed by personal service and...

My wife and I have just spent the night in Richard and Sandra's lovely B&B and we had a truly wonderful time. Birdsong Cottage is located just off the A1 so it was very easy to get to, which in this weather was important. On our arrival we were met by Richard who showed us to the parking area on...

Having read so many excellent reviews we weren't disappointed. Sandra and Richard are excellent hosts and they attended to every detail, from Buck's Fizz in the fridge to sweets in a small jar, small bottles of milk, hairdryer and straighteners and the list goes on. From the private outdoor hot tub to breakfast butties in bed, complimentary chocolates to bathrobes and slippers, remote control mood lighting to smart TV, these are the touches that set the Haven room apart from other rooms in other B&Bs. Myself and my husband stayed for two nights in the 'Haven' room.
