Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cherry Tree Lodge. We were warmly greeted by friendly hosts Barb and Alex who as we toured their beautiful garden. The accommodation was very comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean - with lots of provisions and lovely touches such as fresh flowers strategically placed. Could not have asked for more. Highly recommended. Carmel and Terry

Terrific find chosen originally because of the name. Very comfortable, very accommodating hosts and I can really recommend the Cherry Jam, yum! The offer of washing machine, dryer/ clothes line was a bonus on our dusty trip. Well worth the side trip.

This is much more than a bnb, this is a beautifully restored villa home and guests have use of the stocked kitchen (wonderful home made jams, eggs, etc provided), lounge, pergola. The gardens are delightful, the beds really comfortable, the bathroom is modern, the hosts very hospitable.
What a great alternative to your typical motel option in nearby Port Pirie.
Highly recommended if passing through or for a longer stay.

We stayed over night sharing with another couple. Check in is at the caravan park and the host then takes you to the b & b and gives you a tour. The house is beautiful with a lovely garden. Plenty of room, great beds, new bathroom and toilet at the rear of property. Good heating and electric blankets on the beds. Basic continental breakfast with cereal, juice and toast. Bath gel supplied but no shampoo etc. Very relaxing and quiet, would recommend this lovely b & b.

We are so pleased to receive this review. We are now providing shampoo along with the bath gel, and open to suggestions as to what else would be expected (along with the Cherry Ripes of course). We advise that we no longer manage the caravan park and have taken up residence at the B&B where we have our own quarters. We are now in a position to offer great country comfort meals should they be required, along with special two night packages mid week or weekend.

This property is very clean, ample breakfast supplies, cereal and juice, coffee tea. Out the back is the beautiful chooks and no roosters. The ceilings are high and such a cool house I a hot summer. Air conditioner , dryers, gas cookers and welcome tub of home made biscuits was so lovely after a long trip to get there. Try the local ice cream,,,

Charming well presented and maintained BnB with wonderful hosts. Lovely gardens, modern bathroom and very clean facilities. Five mins walk to main street and local pub that does great meals. Barb will cook you fresh eggs for breakfast and Alex will show you the Garden. Very quiet and peaceful. Could have sat on their front veranda all day and watched the brilliant stars come out at night. Highly recommended.

We spent a night here and really enjoyed the comfortable 100 year old house with the wood fire in the kitchen, comfortable bed, and friendly and hospitable hosts Alex and Barb. We enjoyed a tour of their garden and fresh eggs from their own interesting chooks, not to mention Barb’s homemade jam and biscuits. The house is also wheelchair accessible. We definitely want to go back.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us earlier this month (sorry about the tardiness of our response). We look forward to sharing our house with you again. and sitting around the fire pit, maybe enjoying the warmth of the fire and the company while sipping a wine or two, munching on camp oven damper or stew, singing a song.....
