If you like privacy don't bother with room 210. The Curtains gape open for anyone to see. The balcony to the room is shared with another room, so if they were that way inclined, can look at you through the glass doors which are next to the bed. Talking about the bed, it smelled like either the pillow cases were not changed or needs new pillows. Dirty brown streaks all over the bathroom sliding door which obviously hasn't been cleaned for awhile, as well as dirt along the wall tiles..NO hairdryer..A sign asking to keep the bathroom door shut as it may start off the fire alarm and a fine will be on you, well, if they had a FAN that 'worked' in the bathroom, that may help some more..Minute Shower cubicle, watch out if you are a little overwieght, with a minute shower head and cleaned?? (didn't look like it) ..No tea towel for dishes.. Ok..well after a complaint about 'Privacy' , I will say I was offered another room the next day which was a little larger etc but wasn't too much better...The room I saw when booking was NOTHING like the one I got..So watch out for what room you get I guess?

We’ve booked it from the 6th to the 11th of January. Pictures are nothing like it. Came in and checked in paid over 1,400 AUD for something that wasn’t even worth the money.

Checked in and didn’t even last an hour. It smelt like mould couldn’t even breathe. Everywhere we looked we found something dirty.
Hair on the sheets which they claimed was washed. Plates and coffee mugs and spoons weren’t washed. Dust all over the room. Hair on the chairs. And to end it with the worst one, blood on the sheets 🙂

Had the manager come up and look at the room but she didn’t even dare coming over to the corner to look at the sheets. Also tried charging us a cleaning fee which we haven’t used so in the end we demanded a full refund.

And to top that off she was extremely rude considering the situation.

My partner and I booked a room at City View Accommodation via booking.com for 2 weeks and only lasted 12 hours due to the condition of the room. The room was filthy (see photos attached) uninhabitable and we did not feel safe. The manager at the accommodation was rude and condescending to us. Do not stay here!! I wouldn’t even rate it a one star. We have stayed in places before that are the same price as City View and have never had an issue. It is the bare minimum to have a clean room and to feel safe where you are staying. Also, to have polite staff. A little goes a long way. We have found this situation extremely stressful and have not had a resolution. I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience the same issue.

Taxi driver had trouble finding the site. Small room but suited our purpose. It could be confusing to find the entry to the accommodation. You have to ring to gain entry but once you know the lay of the land, no problems. Once you get off Parramatta Rd, the surrounding area is quite pleasant. Found a good cafe to have breakfast.

We arrived to check out the room we'd pre-booked and paid for. The room was smelly and damp.We didn't stay. Whilst I may have expected to pay for one night we had to pay the full four nights. Agoda the booking site offered lip service only. The room was definitely not a advertised....LOOK ELSEWHERE

This place is beyond terrible and absolutely filthy. Booked in 3 rooms and paid in full. Upon arrival the rooms were appalling, dust so thick there vents were closed over, bathroom full of mold insects and even rust.

Toilet covered in clipped hair cuttings, towels stained with blood and insects in them. Cracked tiles in the showers. The list goes on.

I contacted reception after I was notified of how horrible these rooms were and this is the respone i got:

( First of all, Our policy is " If cancelled within 60 days before date of arrival or in case of no-show, the total price of reservation will be charged".
So basically we can not refund you)

Your property isn't fit for humans to stay/sleep in. I can understand being charged 1 night as a fee but to not refund at all and be rude about the situation instead of having any consumer remorse is disgusting.

WOULD NEVER EVER STAY HERE..... DO NOT RECCOMMEND

Hard to say anything nice and positive about it; only reasons to say here are location if you must be around Leichhardt and its cheap price.
I was going to several sessions of the French Film Festival just around the corner at the Palace so it was convenient to go back between shows.
This benefit was negated though as the office was closed for most of the day and I couldn't get access for either registration or leaving my bags.
It offers no convenience for international or interstate tourists whose flight schedules don't always meet the dictates of such an inflexible hotel. No flexibility or give and take.
My room was a shocker, tiny room with a very small bed (my legs overhung the end of the bed) , the mattress was cheap and basic and the bathroom was less than inviting.
Think somebody had a sense of humour with the name - Cityview is only appropriate if you think the city is a concrete jungle - my window looked onto a concrete wall.
And if you were worried about waking early to catch a flight home; you needn't worry; being under a flight path guaranteed that you couldn't sleep in and relax.

Very convenient for where I was going, but the place was absolutely filthy. Upon arrival, there were two women arguing with reception staff, who I think was also the owner. They were complaining about the filth in their room. They asked for another room, but the reception staff said there was nothing left. She told them if they weren't happy they could go elsewhere. The customer looked at me and said "Good luck staying here!" Then one of them told me to check the fan in my bathroom because theirs was filthy.
The reception staff asked them to wait while she served me. I went up to my room & had a look at it. Absolutely putrid. But there was nowhere else to stay & I desperately needed a room. The towels were old, thin rags from Kmart. There was dust in every corner. The bathroom exhaust fan was filled with dust & the corners of the walls had wood rot. Outdated wrinkled carpet, cheap uncomfortable bed linen, & dusty bedside tables. I am so glad I brought my own towel. I would never stay there again. It looks nothing like the picture advertised.

Positives
- Well equipped utensils, plates, cups, appliances etc.
- Comfy bed
- my room had proper Air con
- Large bathroom
- Good value for money

Negatives
- Unfriendly staff from beginning to end. The male clerk’s demeanor during check was not at all welcoming and it seemed like my arrival was a big inconvenience to him. Granted I did arrive at 1.15pm and had no issues waiting but the room turned out to be ready so why the attitude I don’t understand. No thank you or well wishes when handed back the key to a female staff member neither.
- Lack of privacy feeling/very thin walls. Can hear conversations in the corridor word for word as clearly as if they were stood In the room with you and having the room closest to reception was a constant. Made me feel uncomfortable.
