We had a most enjoyable stay at Maalaea Banyans. Our hosts were so kind and very helpful with all our questions. The view from the 4th floor is stunning especially if you're an early riser. The sunrise over Haleakala was something I especially enjoyed while sipping my morning coffee. Many friendly residents made us feel at home too. The pool... More

We should have done our research - Maalaea is a pretty windswept place, and the upper floors of the development are exposed to wind coming over the ridge (the wind turbines are a big clue). The whole harbor area is also on the final approach to the airport so there is some noise. The resort itself is well maintained and... More

If you have a car, this place has outstanding views, quiet pool and hot tub. It is central to other places on the island. Not the place to stay if you don't have a car. You can access the water but in July , the water wasn't very clear and it was rocky. Very small Beach and no beach when... More

Centrally located, quiet, a good place to relax away from a lot of people and traffic. If you want to be in the middle of people type activity this is not the place for you. But if you want a relaxed atmosphere I would recommend the Banyans.

Unit 313 is a great 1 bedroom unit for a couple to stay while enjoying their time in Maui! The view is spectacular from the lanai and when my boyfriend and I were there, there was a huge south swell so many of the surfers were right in our view entertaining us for several days. The unit is updated, with... More

I stayed here in 2010 and 2012! Both times were amazing! I could walk out the sliding glass door and across the wonderfully manicured lawn to the small beach that presented sparkling beach glass! I could hear the calling of a blown conch shell approx. 4pm each day and someone in a condo above ours would play the ukulele and... More

As if Maui and all of Hawaii isn't beautiful enough, unit 219 at the Ma'alaea Banyons is the icing on the cake. It's pure Hawaii when you step in the door. As others have said, the view of the Pacific Ocean is magnificent and the whales are right out in front of you. This one bedroom unit has every upgrade... More

We stayed for two weeks in 209 Maalaea Banyons. Had a wonderful time. Condo was perfect for what we wanted. Centrally located on Maui. Close to all the water activities. Saw 100s of whales right from our condo!!! Must go to Breach Bums just down the road. Pool and jacuzzi were nice treats. Will return.

The view is by far the best feature of this particular unit. The updated kitchen was beautiful but we stay in a condo so we can cook and eat in part of the time, there was no room to store any food items and the fridge was in bad shape. When there is a note that says do not change... More
