Detailed Reviews
This is a 6km walk (the closest place) from the top of Nemrut Dagi and so is worth considering if you don't want to fork out for a taxi to the summit. Camping is possible for those on a budget and a kitchen and dining room but these are a bit stale (and writing in November) not very cosy. For campers there are toilet and shower facilities which are nothing to write home about. Breakfast and meals are available and are quite good.
The rooms look nice enough and have their own toilets but we only camped at this pension.
A bus runs from Kahta for 5 YTL up towards Nemrut Dagi as far as Cesme passing Karadut. But the last bus leaves Kahta around 2.00pm, so make sure you are on this bus if you don't want to have to deal with the Taxi cartel in Narince.
Nemrut Dagi is quite extraordinary. We have visited it in november and despite a chilly wind enjoyed ıt immensely.

We picked Cesme Pansiyon because it was the closest to the top of Mt Nemrut though still 8-9 km away. The views are not quite as good as some of the places lower in the village which overlook an attractive valley.
At first glance a bit abandoned and run down but it did grow on me over time. The people were friendly (no English) and the food was simple but fine. The room was reasonably big and comfortable and everything (shower, toilet etc) worked fine even if it apeared a bit run down. We had dinner included in the room price which included soup, salad and chicken - simple but all good.
We arranged with them to visit Mt Nemrut for a sunrise visit to the mountain followed by breakfast at the pension and then a drive to Kahta otogar via Arsameia, the old bridges and Karakus Tumulus for 150 TL total. The old guy who drove us appeared to be the village dolmus driver which might explain why the dolmus was not at Kahta otogar (I’m not sure if there is another one or not) when we arrived!
Lots of mosquitos and other bugs in the pension and surrounding areas.
It looked like they were planning some rennovations so maybe it will appear nicer soon!

Even if you are not with a car, they can arrange transportation to you to Nemrut site. For dinner, expect an extremely tasty and fresh trout just removed from a mountain stream in the pension's yard. The breakfast consists of fresh organic produce from the village. The rooms are simple but clean, with bathrooms and also very quiet, so you can relax very well at about 2000m altitude. They can also offer you a tour of all the interesting places in the area. The sunrise, the stunning mountain views and the warm welcome leave unforgettable memories of visiting Nemrut Dağı.

This Pansiyon has pro's and cons. The view is amazing and the location is great; It is the closest accommodationfrom to the southern end of the summit of Nemrut, which has the best road up to the summit. We probably got an extra hour of sleep in the morning compared to most other dawn risers because we were literally 200 meters from the Nemrut National park's front gate (and we had a rental car).
On the down side, it wasn't the cleanest, and we did have a few issues with bugs. There were also several power cuts, but I guess I can't really blame them for that.
The service was very good and the staff were really friendly and helpful. They made a nice meal for us each night, and breakfast was standard but good.

For us the biggest attraction, as the name suggests is the spring with excellent and abundant water. The rooms aren't elegant but has a pleasant view over the trees. We walked up from there to the mountain, shortcuting the last few curves by climbing on a steep rocky slope and it was very amusing to get to the huge heads like that. When we returned in the evening, out hosts were waiting us with a dinner for which they didn't accept payment, and next morning they didn't let us leave before joining the eating up of there gigantic menemen (a tipical egg&vegetables breakfast meal).

We took it with our little daughters, so it we were quite slow, I think it took us at least 2-3 hours to climb up. It's 700 meters difference of altitude. Back to the Pansiyon it's a very easy way, one hour or a quarter more. . We walked most of the way just on the road, there was virtually no traffic, so it's entirely safe. Then we shortcuted the last few curves by climbing on a steep rocky slope and it was very amusing to get to the huge heads like that. That part was very safe, too, but we have much practice in hiking. On the way back it was night so we walked all the way on the road. We could find another path.
It was last August but in spite of this there were almost nobody who went up from that side, we suppose people avoid SE Turkey because of the situatuion in Syria.
Hi ,I am planning to go to Mt. Nemrut too .
Just dont know how it will work out
