Detailed Reviews
Stayed here with my wife and 2 kids in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment itself was large and clean with amazing views from both balconies. The road that runs along the side of the hotel was a little noisy when sitting on one of the balconies however not a big deal as the other balcony gave amazing views over Alexandra Headlands. The rooms were spacious with the master having an ensuite which was great. Main bathroom had a Jacuzzi bath with shower overhead. Beds were really comfortable with the most amazing pillows I've ever slept on. The kitchen was brilliantly stocked, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer all in the apartment.
Location is brilliant, only a 5 min walk to the main strip of Mooloolaba and the beach l. Small hill to get to the hotel however didn't impact us as we're all able bodied.
The pool area was beautiful with a nice spa and steam room. Plenty of sun loungers and chairs/tables. The views over the beach from the pool area were great.
My only gripe with the property was lack of gym. The hotel states it has a gym however this is not the case. There are 3 machines (a small rowing machine, a stepper and something else) squeezed into a small room which also contains a pool table and arcade game. One of the selling points for me was the gym as I like to do some weights etc every other day however this was not a gym. It wasn't the end of the world but a resort shouldn't advertise this as a gym when it's not.
Overall I'd highly recommend the accommodation. The owners are really nice and the grounds are beautiful. You'll enjoy every minute of your stay here.

It needs to be noted that even though this is an older accommodation, it is amazingly clean. If this is your thing, stay here. Really, behind the television, all the skirting boards, the shower recess, bed linen, and even the gardens were absolutely immaculate. Congratulations to the Managers. Job very well done…..not the most modern place but we’d stay again……

A beautiful apartment with clear uninterrupted views of the coral sea. Clean and well facilitated. Lively pool area. Close to the cafes and restaurants of Moolooba. Walk across the road for beach strolls. Will return. A great location. You can easily drive to all the sites.

We stayed here for two nights in November 2011; on the first night our bedding was soiled and had clearly not been changed/cleaned since the last guests had checked out. The staff agreed to move us rooms for the second night, however when we went to use the toilet in the second room we found diarrhoea on the toilet seat and rim - we had to clean this ourselves as the manager refused to resolve this for us.
I have since received a full-refund from the agent for this reservation.

In response, we would like to mention a few things as it is our belief that this review is both false and misleading. This room was cleaned the day of the guest’s arrival. The above guests checked in at approx. 3pm in the afternoon and at 9am the following morning came down to the office complaining that the bedding was soiled and the room was so dusty that they could not sleep and they were able to write their name in the dust. We accompanied the guest up to the room and found that the bedding was clean and in no way soiled as the guests made it out to be. In all fairness there were a few small marks on the top side of the bedspread, which was removed and sent straight to the dry cleaners. Prior to our guest’s arrival we open up the front sliding glass doors to allow fresh air into the room. As we are opposite the ocean beach there is occasionally a very light film of salt-air/dust on the top of the television etc. We asked the guests would they like to move apartments to which they agreed. When asked to vacate the room so we could clean it for any future guests, they responded that they were going out and would be back later. We inspected the room that they were moving into as well as our head cleaner to double check the room dust etc. And kept the doors closed. I find it almost impossible that 1) My cleaners would leave a dirty toilet, 2) We missed a dirty toilet upon inspection and 3) that our head cleaner (who has submitted a written report stating that the apartment, including toilet, was clean) missed a dirty toilet when specifically told to make sure the room was spotless. The guests returned to check out of the first apartment and into the new apartment at 5pm that day (so we were unable to access the room to clean it and rendering it unavailable to rent out that night). The guests rang at approx. 9pm to say that there was a mess on the toilet to which we replied that the toilet had been cleaned and that there was no mess on the toilet when they checked into the room. We have had phone conversations with the agent that the accommodation was booked though and explained all these circumstances to them. We have not authorised any refund to these guests, and have been paid in full for the booking, as it is our belief that they were after a discounted holiday and none of the complaints legitimate. If any refund has been made it has been by the agent not by ourselves.

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights in November in a double with "supposed" ocean view. We were very much disappointed. The room size was nice, but nothing else was as described. The bed was fine, but the bedroom itself was not cozy or nice at all. We had a balcony, and if you went all the way out on it and strained you could see a bit of the ocean. The reason that I am most upset about this, is that I specifically called the owner and spoke to her about getting us a room with a view, otherwise I would not book. She assured me that all I had to do was write "ocean view" in the comments area on the booking form and we would get it. I then called back a few weeks before our trip to reconfirm that we had an ocean view room and she said yes, we did. We were in room 8. If you get room 8, don't expect a view from the room - your balcony is on the side and so its an awkward angle to be able to see any ocean, but definitely only if you are standing outside.
We had gone through a website that had a special going, and I was debating between this and the Alex seaside resort. Due to the proximity to town, I chose this place, and definitely chose wrong.
The living room was quite big, but the couch and chairs were so uncomfortable. She has a selection of DVD's available in many languages, but they are at a cost (ridiculous). There is even a computer in the reception area, but it also has a charge. She charges for everything.
The bathroom was quite big, but not modern or anyway arranged appropriately. The washer and dryer are from the 1960's, so outdated.
I was in Australia for 2 weeks and stayed at a variety of places, and this was the only one i was disappointed in, and ironically it was the 2nd most expensive place we stayed it. I did like the proximity to Mooloolaba though, that was the only reason that I chose this over the Alex Seaside resort - and at the time of my booking there weren't many reviews on either.
Do not stay here!

I am very sorry that you did not get what you expected. However, you did get everything quoted on the description of the room. Quote: 1 Bedroom Air Conditioned Fully Self Contained apartment with Views from the balcony. Flat Screen TV with a 2nd TV in the master bedroom. Ideal for couples – some apartments with spa (on request). Gentle wander down the hill for a coffee or latte. If, as you stated that you spoke to us direct requesting a good Ocean view – why did you not book direct – to guarantee the best view? As in any resort we do have different standards of accommodation. I am not sure what this guest expected, but she did state that the apartment was ‘a nice size’, ‘bed was fine’, can see the ocean from the balcony, ‘living room was quite big’, ‘bathroom was quite big’, and she did like our proximity to Mooloolaba. Your own laundry has Fisher & Paykel appliances, which are less than 10 years old, they are in good working condition with no marks or scratches. And this was in our discounted room. The cost of DVD hire is $3 for as long as required. Internet charges start from $4. I do not know where else in Australia she stayed, but our prices are very competitive with other resorts in Mooloolaba. Please book direct for special requests.

Originally offered refurbished apartment, king bed, spa, leather lounge, plasma tvs, free bottle of wine, 4 nights for the price of 3. We had to change that to 3 nights & ended with a very dated, musty apartment. The arms of the old & broken lounges were dirty, the carpet coming apart in places & the bed was very old & hard. We were given a foam overlay which helped. The management just did not seem interested. Would never go there again & am telling everybody we know of our experience. We could have & should have gone to the brand new Mantra at not much more cost!

We are new managers here and took over in September 2009. I can only apologise for your stay with the old management as they were - on their way out! Since our takeover we have been very active in refurbing the apartments and the majority have new floor coverings, leather lounges, new bedding and flat screen TVs. We have employed a new cleaning company and are very particular about the cleanliness of apartments. We would like to invite you back to judge the difference for yourself. I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised! Errol & Janece New on-site managers.

I had booked a room with my Qantas Points. On the day of my stay, my partner pulled his back out whilst loading the car. I had phoned the Hotel to let them know what was happening, I was advised to contact Qantas. Due to my partners injury, I obviously did not make it to the sunny coast. On the Monday, I phoned Qantas to see if I could re-book my stay to a further date or receive a refund. Qantas advised it shouldn't be a problem, but would have to check with the hotel. I received notification today that the hotel will not provide a refund. I phoned the hotel to confirm that this was right and reception said yes - as they couldn't re book the room. I am still in disbelief..... no consideration to the fact that I had to cancel due to injury. This is my first review as I just felt so upset that they could be so inconsiderate. I have never stayed at this hotel so am in no way giving it a bad wrap based on experience - I have only dealt via phone with Reception, however am definitely advising potential customers to make sure that they don't expect any kind of consideration from the staff, should you be unable to make your stay. I have an upcoming event in which I had family traveling from different cities to attend. I had planned on trying this hotel out as it is in the perfect location - GLAD I KNOW WHAT I DO!!!!!!!! and thank-you for showing me how you deliver service!!!!!

Dear Guest I am terribly sorry that you could not make your stay with us. However, as you booked through an agent and they did not contact us until after your due date of stay to cancel - the room was still held for you. Unfortunately we could not refund after the event.

I never write reviews on hotels but I feel that this should be known.
We arrived to the hotel expecting an ocean view room. We were placed at the back of the hotel with a view we had to crane our necks around the verandah to view. The pool was small (we didn't use it). The spa, which we did use, had jets that were all different strengths and was quite uncomfortable. We didn't stay long in there. The room, which we were expecting to be beautful as of the photos they use to advertise, was very unsatisfactory. They call themselves 'luxury'. I don't think so! We had a dirty old airconditioner, masking tape holding the fan in the bedroom together, dirty blue tiles in the bathroom which had a slippery shower floor. We had a room (supposed to be 'ocean view') overlooking Buderim Avenue into the next apartment blocks across the road. Clearly, they must take photos of the other resorts they have under their name as the room didn't look anything like the photos! We were told they had a gym - one excersise bike and one x-trainer. Also, they charge $6 for extra towels. Luxury? No way!
We were going to mention all of this on our way out when we handed the keys in, but it was clear the lady behind the counter wanted nothing to do with us. Not good enough considering we paid over $200 a night! I guess the only good thing that this hotel has going for it is that it is walking distance from the Mooloolaba strip of shops. But other than that.....nothing.
Lets just say, we won't be staying here again!!

This review is totally false and misleading. All of our apartments state ocean view from the balcony or direct ocean views from 3 bedroom which all of our apartments do have. They all have outdoor settings which you can comfortably sit at and enjoy the ocean views. All of our apartments have been recently refurbished with modern furnishings including leather lounges. All have new bedding. We certainly do not have sticky tape holding a fan together - this is totally outrageous! How is it even possible to hold a fan together with sticky tape? Some bathrooms have blue tiles - sorry you don't like the colour, but I can assure you that they are spotlessly clean. We consider cleanliness a priority. This guest send repeated emails, clearly threatening to put a bad review on Tripadvisor if we did not give her a discount or refund. We do not respond to bribery.
