Being a lad who grew up with wide open spaces between neighbours. Meaning a good distance between houses. It was a pleasure to just hear the sounds of nature.
Location is perfect, accomodation is well presented. My only gripe, and this is my personal opinion from a person who carries a knee injury. Bathroom could do with a handrail, as the bathtub is deep, and with no anti slip mat. No shower curtain, so tiled floor does get wet, another problem area for slipping.
A few hooks, or some sort of storage to place clothes, and glasses! Not wine glasses, but eye glasses.
A couple of small night stands beside the bed. Glasses on floor is a problem!
Did have a issue with the gas stove. Seems I could only get the two right hand side burners to work. Oven, gave up after 10 minutes! It would either ignite, then go out. Or nothing would happen.
WiFi, yes, it is offered. But forget getting a connection! We did have 4G through our service provider, so I suggest connecting your own dongle. I would have liked to connect my laptop to post images.
As I said, only a gripe! And something the owners could look into to improve what is already a perfect retreat for city escapees.
Would We come again, yes!

My wife I recently got married at worrowing (early December) The property is a beautiful, natural location which provides a beautiful private wedding. The accommodation isn’t anything new or fancy and does come with some housekeeping rules but still a beautiful location to relax before and on the day of the wedding.
Maddy and her crew were good with the lead up, ensuring we had what was required for the day. They let us set up what we could the day before and we had the coordinator set up the remainder the next day.
The venue is a DIY venue so it does mean you do spend extra on hiring outside equipment- but this is explained to you at the start and the vendors you use will let you know what they require.
There was a couple of things we weren’t told until after booking the venue - like chairs and tables not being allowed outside (However we did come to agreement) and we had some accommodation ( the glamping tents) become unavailable very close to the wedding itself meaning two couples had to pay extra for different accommodation.
All in all we had a good experience and a beautiful wedding that I wish could have lasted forever at this venue - would recommend.

This was a small 3-bedroom cabin, situated in a beautiful location. Large heard of kangaroos were visible outside the windows. Very peaceful and quiet. Short drive to central areas and food stores. PROS: clean, amenities functioning, comfortable bedding, beautiful views. CONS: small, not recommended for long stays (more than 3 days), limited storage space, staff were reserved and not overly helpful, bbq was packed away and not in good condition. Very highly priced for the amentities (~700 for 2 nights, 3 people). Would return to larger cabin and at a reasonable cost.

I don’t normally write reviews but thought others need to know as I don’t think the owners were going to make it known despite my my very fair feedback and provider the opportunity for them to amend their description of the accommodation. We stayed here first week of January 2021, 3 people with a 2 year old toddler in the cottage. The property is quite nice with a lot of kangaroos around which my toddler loved for about 20 minutes and then the novelty wore off. The cottage was ok a bit dated and definitely not as good as the pictures. There is no air conditioning for summer, only a fan in the living, kitchen area not the bedroom. This made it very hard to sleep at night as it does get hot and this was actually not a hot week when we were there! There are a lot of mozzies outside so we couldn’t open the windows to let any air in to help with the sleep, this could easily be fixed with a fan in the bedroom as well. Out cottage (number 4) was right next to a pond which had lots of frogs and therefore, to make matters worst at night time, was so loud we were not able to sleep at all! This was a surprise as we expected the property to be peaceful. I don’t know if it’s because our cottage was next to the pond and therefore we had more noise but we also had cicada so imagine it’s a common problem. This could be easily fixed if the owners would make it known about the noise and perhaps suggest ear plugs for sleeping. Visitors should be given all info to make an informed decision to choose to stay, ensuring expectations is meet. I had given this feedback to the owners and it appears non of the feedback was a surprise and the indication is that nothing will be taken to amend the situation attached the response

Thank you so much for your feedback, its important and we like to know when things are not quite right.

We acknowledge all the matters you raised and take each one into consideration. We however, are sometimes challenged by the forces of nature, and look at it as part of the whole experience.

We thank both you and your husband for taking the time to correspond with us and for being our guests at the Worrowing property.

Kind regards,
Jen @ Worrowing admin.

The response is fine but to be able to allow your visitors to know the whole experience they would be getting into you need to make it known to them to make sure they are aware before they book. The rating is not one but should be more 3, but I wanted people to read this so you know what you are expecting because I don’t think the owners will let you know “the whole experience”.

We have walked into the lovely two bedroom cottage facing the pond and are so impressed with the home and grounds.

It is a gorgeous smallish cottage with top class beautifully kept interiors. Clean as can be. The cottage has all the amenities you could need and also boasts a Webber bbq for outside cooking.

Perfect for a couple and gives you beautiful scenery from all parts of the cottage.

Check in was seamless with the staff ready with our instructions as we drove in.

There’s a fireplace with a plentiful supply of wood and ready to go. We are very pleased with our choice to book this delightful cottage and recommend definitely to a couple for a private getaway and yet so close to many of the areas highlights.

The perfect location to check in. Beautifully maintained and clean villas. Everything was supplied and no detail was left out. Loved being able to open doors and windows to allow the sea breeze and fresh air flow through. Easy access to beach.

Stayed for a weekend in February and although the room (Wilderness Hutt) was nice enough, it was very over priced.
They offer nice tea/coffee but only enough for 1 of each - too bad if you both want a cup of tea, and the next day they dont make up your room or replace any of the consumables. With the nightly rate they charge, I would have certainly expected the room to be made up at least...
No air con is also a real surprise considering the price.
In short, we didnt let these issues bother us and had a nice weekend. If the price was 30-40% less, I’d have a much better memory of the place but it is just too expensive for what you get. When I spoke to the manager asking if our room would be made up, he said no- its just like renting a batch.....with that in mind, price it accordingly or up your standards to meet your rates.

First of all, the score are based on experience and prices combined. If you paid considerably high price you would expect a good experience, relatively if you pay for a dirt cheap place you wouldn’t expect good service or experience. With the above in mind, I would not recommend this place if you’re looking for family experience with your mind set on a resort style estate of relaxation.

We stayed this place at the peak of xmas paying $600 per night for a 2 bed duplex with a pool, now I am aware what i am expecting when it comes to xmas time, high price and low service.

First this property was no where near the estate, my first mistake, not even sure why they have places outside of the estate then advertise under the estate name, so misleading, i am sure there are fine print in small letter somewhere stating its not in the estate upon booking, but I feel I was misled hence this review.

My next mistake is choosing a ‘private pool’, as you can see from picture i uploaded, the supposed private pool is 2m x 2m hardly child friendly and located outside where organic dirt such as leaves often falls and its not even heated, good luck going for a morning dip.

Lets talk about service, what service ? We picked up the keys which was left for us at the estate unattended front desk, we drove to the location outside the estate based on the map they provide us. Good luck if your looking for your local expert experience and answer a few tourist questions.

Clean and tidy upon arrival? The floor still has dirt from last guest, looks like they didn’t bother to waste time cleaning, at least the beds are made up. We had to ring a few time to get someone to clean the pool, we could not wait for floor so clean the floor ourselves.

The place is old, washing machine even has rust around them, they advertise for bbq place, you can see in picture that its a small bbq with a gas tank, wouldn’t expect for a modern accomodation. There are no aircon so good luck with the heat.

Other service , cause we had 2 kids we requested 2 cot to be present upon booking, they said not a problem. Upon arrival to the room there are no cot assembled, we called they said they left it upon the unattended front desk that we should able to see it when we pickup our keys that we are to assembled ourselves.

I get that xmas period are busy, but we never prepared for no service, there are no one you could speak to face to face. We feel like been treated like a self service hostel paying hotel price.

In hindsight with that price we are paying, we would just hire a house to ourself on airbnb.

Overall, not a good experience, i would not recommend anyone booking here.

The venue for our son's wedding was lovely but be careful of extra costs - hiring of warming oven and garbage disposal (costs that should be covered in the hire cost). Furniture was very dusty and required cleaning before the tables could be set up. The men's toilets are inadequate with only one stall and no trough.
The accommodation is another story....... minimum 2 night stay which cost us $540 (normally I would happily pay this) but then I was given the checkout list which required me to wash any kitchenware used and replace it to its place, empty my own garbage and hang my bath towels otherwise I would be charged an additional fee! The room didn't have a working smoke alarm (it had been removed). The room was very dusty, which meant that the bathroom mat became marked, this generated an additional cost of $10 to replace it! Surely this is a cost of running a venue. Although we were forced to take a two night stay there was no service to the room, no fresh towels or bed making and no replacement toilet paper (only the roll in the holder when we arrived, NO SPARE).
I would recommend the venue but not the accommodation. I am happy to pay top dollar for service but object to pay it for no service and the threat of additional costs.

My daughter and son-in-law were recently married at the Worrowing Estate and while the location was amazing the list of rules is overbearing.
We know and accepted that we paid for a shell with only tables and chairs included however the cost was subject to so many rules – set up on the Friday before the wedding had to cease at 5:00pm given that a shell was provided it is hard to understand why we could not continue decorating the reception area after 5:00pm given that we could not commence until that afternoon.
We found the floor of the reception area dirty, the tables required wiping and the toilets cleaned – yet when we left on Sunday the reception area had to be dismantled with a thorough cleaning of all areas including tables, floor and toilets before 11:00am, In other words we had to leave the premises and tables in a better condition than we found them.
The area is a beautiful country estate that is quite dry, hence very dusty. In fact, on the set up on Friday, the ride on lawn mower was in use and the dust encompassing the reception area was intolerable. We had to shut all the doors to continue set up in a very hot room without fans or any heat relief.
While the rules imposed on the use of the reception area and surrounding grounds were over-the -top we accepted that they needed some order to ensure the use of their land was in an acceptable manner.
BUT I take huge umbrage with the rules imposed on the accommodation. We paid $840.00 for our two nights accommodation. All accommodation on site was occupied by the families of the bride and groom along with two large houses for the bridesmaids and groomsmen. This was of course, and understandably, on top of the many wedding associated fees.
When we checked in we were provided with a huge list of conditions, basically the accommodation had to be left in pristine condition. Who pays for accommodation and scrubs the floor before they leave? We had to … as stated above the estate was very, very dusty and the floors in our accommodation had fine dust, let alone the dust collected whilst walking around the estate – yet no dust was to be left, an impossible task to adhere to.
The accommodation was basic, the bathroom was very, very small with a shower that had no door as a result water fell all over the bathroom. We were provided with a white small bath mat and white towels, yes white. Given the amount of dust the mat became very dirty on the first night. We used a mop provided as it was a dangerous because of the potential to slip but each time we stepped on the mat dust from our feet would collect. I don’t know what they should expect with white mats and towels?
On the Sunday everyone scrubbed their accommodation, washed all the glasses used and put them away, cleaned the sink, bathroom, kitchen area, tables, bedroom etc as per the list of rules.
Given all the cleaning we had to do before we left accommodation we had paid handsomely for, I was very disappointed at the management of the Worrowing Estate - $10 000.00 for a shell reception area and the use of the grounds plus other charges are all part of the costs in putting together a wedding - BUT the accommodation costs paid by each of the family should include normal usage however they deducted from my daughter’s security deposit $40.00 for two white towels they stated they replaced because of heavy stains, $10.00 for each bath mat they itemsed as replacements because of dirt stains (two in total) and $7.50 each for two broken glasses. While I accept this is nothing in the scheme of things I find it most inappropriate and indicative of the overbearing expectations of the management of the Worrowing Estate. We paid highly for all accommodation that was at the best 2 star without air-conditioning, maybe 3 given the location and to add insult to $840.00 for two nights my daughter was charged an additional $17.50 - as I am sure it was our accommodation that was charged $10.00 for a mat and $7.50 for a wine glass that broke when we took it out of the dishwasher. You have to be kidding, they supplied a white bath mat and expect it to not get dirty in a dusty dirty estate. While I agree the bath mat had dirt stains, it was so because of the dusty conditions. I have NEVER been charged over and above the accommodation price ever!!!! And when they have a captive audience where they can charge exorbitant accommodation fees one would expect they can manage dirt and an occasional breakage.
My daughter and son-in-law had to pay for every little addition they required outside the shell reception area such as ovens, so to be charged for a white bath mat is downright greedy. The accommodation rules would lead one to believe they were providing the residence free of charge rather than the excessive costs and immoderate rules that we encountered.
I hope others can benefit from our experience and chose a venue that is not so restrictive and allows for normal, reasonable usage.
