What a great place to stay! We're visiting from Canada and truly enjoyed Dolphin Shores in every way. The location is the best for visiting world famous Booderee National Park and all the nearby (and beautiful) beaches. We also rate Booderee Park as a must see in Australia, as a completely accessible and worthwhile visit. Andrew, owner of Dolphin Shores is a local, friendly expert on the park and also the whole local area. Dolphin Shores is clean, updated and perfectly located.

I have had a wonderful stay at Dolphin Shores I cannot fault my stay. The accommodation is gorgeous rooms are immaculate, there are lovely touches from the chilled glasses in the fridge to the lovely complimentary selection of tea/coffee and biscuits. Staff were super friendly and the location though residential is close to a few shops. The plunge pool is a bonus especially if you have little ones. This is a residential area so you need your own transport if you do have a car I would not hesitate to stay here it’s a little gem ! I’ll be back.

We arrived at Dolphin Shores Motel and were greeted by Andrew, the owner, who explained what to do and spoke of the sites to see in the area, we were in room 17, it was spotless and well equipped , everything worked. The beach is a short walk away, the local shops just being a 5 minute walk, including a decent Thai restaurant, eat in or takeaway. The owner has a fine establishment and if you are visiting the area , Dolphin Shores would be an excellent choice

We stayed 2 nights and our room had a very comfortable large bed. The room was of a good size and had everything we needed. A hot shower, kettle, wifi and cookies. It was quiet and close to restaurants and shopping. Andrew was a walking encyclopedia when it came to what to see, where to eat and he described in great detail some of the sites. He even supplied a couple of kangaroos on the front lawn at night! Great stay!

The room was spacious, and the bed comfortable, whole unit was modern and very clean. We had a late check-in, but the owner still gave us great information about the area, shops and restaurants. Extension of our stay was effortless. Can recommend for short and long stays.

Lovely room, comfortable bed and all the amenities you can ask for. We did have issues with the tv. Would couldn’t seem to get many channels but it didn’t bother us enough to ask. Quiet street but close enough to walk to shops and beach. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Thank you for your great review. There are over 60 TV Channels but if you are searching for channels over Channel 200, there are only a few available as it is searching in the Canberra area and beyond. If you ever stay with us again, please ask if you have the same problem. We are slowly upgrading our televisions to state-of -the-art TVs with streaming capability, channel lockout ability (so guests will not be able to access out of area channels, on-screen motel compendiums, local area information channels and much more. We hope to see you again in the future.

Very good experience. Stayed one night with family of four - all adults. Staff was very friendly. Suite was very modern, and very clean. Beds comfortable. We appreciated the tea, instant coffee, milk and jug of cold water that was left for us. Very close to amenities and beaches. Would gladly stay here again.

Great little motel located off in a residential side street in Vincentia. Very neat and tidy and a great welcome from Andrew… great chat about the Tower of London! ;). Room 7 was lovely and clean, well appointed and had everything we needed. Bed was huge and comfortable and the shower was great. Was lovely to sit out front and eat our breakfast and chill in the evening. Has a little pool but we didnt use it as we spent time on the amazing beach which was 4 mins walk away. Thanks for a great stay!

We had booked a two-bedroom townhouse, but on arrival we only had access to one room and had to pay a considerable extra amount to unlock the second bedroom... I am not a fan of false advertising, and this impacted what we would have otherwise rated a good stay. The townhouse had everything we needed and more. Parking was a little tricky however. Location was an odd choice, strange spot near nothing. There is a small pool in the motel area, so we never went as it wasn't on site for us. Overall not worth the price.

Responded 1 Feb 2023
Hi Justine, Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay. It is very clear on ALL websites, on confirmations and on our welcome email to guests on many OTA sites, that when booking for one or two people, only the main bed is made up. If another bed is required or there are any additional people, there is an additional charge per night which is a real cost to us. Consequently, if a guest books for one or two people in one of our Two Bedroom Villas or Three Bedroom Townhouses, only the main bedroom would be made available. There has been no false advertising on any site and if you can please show us where the false advertising is, we will immediately have it rectified. This is why when guests' book for the wrong amount of people, the tariff is incorrect and only the booked beds will be made available. If the correct number of guests is stated, the booker can decide whether it is affordable and has the option of not going ahead with the booking or cancelling it. The motel is a three-minute walk to one of the main shopping centres in the area and a four-minute walk to Collingwood Beach, a two minutes' drive west to the new shopping centre and a five-minute drive north to Huskisson which is the main tourist centre. All the beautiful beaches are south of us. In other words, we are in the middle of everything. The motel plunge/spa pool is available to all guests as your accommodation was two doors down from the motel. We are sorry that our accommodation did not meet your expectations and might suggest that booking for the right amount of guests in the future would lead to a better experience. Kindest regards, Andrew Motel Owner

You always worry when a place has great ratings and is rated #1 in Vincentia however Dolphin Shores does deserve its ratings. We had a standard room which was well appointed and importantly clean. The Dolphin Shores is an easy short walk to the beach and shops. The owner, Andrew, is a bit of a character and has a lot of information about the area and makes you welcome. As an improvement I would suggest some brighter lighting in the room and the exhaust fan was a bit noisy. Definitely a place we would stay again at.
