We were looking for a Vacation in a very difficult Time and we came across Portuguese by Chane, still it was one of the best in my life and Pestana Hotel has much contributed The Location was amazing, the palace was ver beautiful and with luxurious Decorated, the Breakfast was various and delicious, the room was beautiful and big and the staff was extremely friendly. The indoor Swimming pool was very convenient for the Weather and we had daily Fun enjoying it. Just staying here makes you feel very special and pampered. I'm definitely visiting the Pestana Hotel Group again.

Two nights of peace in a very comfortable environment. The staff were friendly and courteous. Breakfast on the terrace was amazing and definitely a highlight of our stay. We dined in the restaurant one evening and we also explored the local area. We would definitely recommend this little bit of luxury.

We have stayed here a few times and its one of my favourites, really unique and very beautiful. Sadly, there is always something about the service that does grate. This time the pool bar was closed before sunset and before the main hotel bar opened. We settled ourselves down to have a sundowner just to be told we couldn't. Previously we've had terrible service in the restaurant so we won't eat there but we do go back to the hotel, perhaps we are mad but the hotel is gorgeous hopefully one day the service will match.

We hired a vehicle. I would suggest to arrange a driver or cab (be aware one of our Uber drivers in Losbon was impaired). Wonderful to walk the village. Visit the Roman ruins....fascinating!
