I agree with a previous reviewer - it's both a wine bar and hotel - the reception is located at the bar, with a friendly and helpful staff ready to accommodate any request. My room was large and facing the courtyard - which I recommend. While the bathroom needed an update and some lightbulbs needed changing, the overall vibe in...

I'm a frequent traveller to Copenhagen and work in the hospitality industry. There are some basic things I expect to see in any hotel I stay regardless of rating and unfortunately this hotel falls short on some of those basics Good wifi / comfortable bed and quiet nights sleep .. basic !! None of which this hotel delivered on. Wifi...

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for the review we appreciate you taking the time to write a review and take your experience and opinions very seriously. We have high speed Wi-Fi- and this should normally work in the whole hotel, I am sorry to hear that our Wi-Fi was not working at your stay, as you say yourselves, it...

The hotel is located just outside Copenhagen city center, which makes for a quieter setting but still walking distance to city center. The room was large by European standards, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast, however, was far too expensive, and the tap water in the bathroom smelled strongly of sulphur. Otherwise, the hotel was clean, comfortable,...

Is this a wine bar or a hotel? Well, a bit of both! The reception/lobby is a lounge/bar, and hotel guests sit by the fire with a glass and chat. It's so relaxed and welcoming. Staff are helpful. WiFi is fast and free. I had a small room with a single bed (was traveling alone) but it was ample. Breakfast...

Thank you very much for your review! You are absolutely right; at Brøchner Hotels we do not have receptions - we have Lobby Bars. The bar and reception is mixed together and it gives us the possibility to serve you a glass of wine, bobbles or a drink right after we have checked you in and given you recommendations of...

The Junior Suite is really nice! We first booked the Standard Room, but it was a bit small. So we asked if there was an upgrade available and so they offered us the Junior Suite for a small extra fee. Service is great, everyone is so friendly. And the breakfast is delicious. Location is good, just 5 minutes walk to...

Great location walking distance to forum metro and beautiful lobby, bar (free wine hour!) and breakfast (fresh, sumptuous). But the rooms urgently need a renovation - mould and stains on shower tiles, a plastic toilet that didn't stop dripping and furnishings that needed a re- new. No irin or ironing board. No fridge. Most bizzare was the bed - thinnest...

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We appreciate it a lot. We are sorry to hear that you did not find your room satisfying. We have just finished painting all of the rooms and put new chairs and new sofa beds in our Superior Double rooms. The 10 cm. mattress is a top mattress that...

My sister and I visited Copenhagen in December and picked the Avenue Hotel for it's location and value. It's not necessarily central to Copenhagen, but a great location between the city centre and Frederiksberg if you're planning to explore that area too. We loved the cosy feel to the place, the friendly staff and the wine hour treat that welcomed...

We stayed as a group of friends for 2 nights. The hotel is located on a main trunk road in Fredriksberg and around 1 kilometre into the city. The staff are wonderful - full of good recommendations and could not have been more helpful in booking tables and making sure our stay was perfect. The bar area is really comfortable...

This is an excellent hotel (for the price). Stayed here for 3 nights in February 2017 and it was a very pleasant experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the free wine hour is amazing and the rooms are comfortable. Location - Walking distance to the centre but there is a handy Metro stop nearby (Forum). This also gives...

Avenue hotel was perfect from start to finish. Warm welcome from the receptionist, they had prepared our room for an early check-in as i had mentioned we would most likely arrive quite early due to our flight time- so helpful. Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Frederiksberg
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
