Rooms are spotless and you are looked after from the time you arrive to when you leave wonderful hosts. Would not hesitate to go back and would certainly recommend this place. The views from the breakfast table are second to none amazing.

Just returned from our 10th visit to Chy an Dour. Lovely accommodation in a delightful bungalow in a picturesque village which ample eating establishments nearby. Guests receive a warm welcome and a hearty Derbyshire breakfast. Another wonderful and enjoyable stay.

Stayed here with my wife for 2 nights ,lovely room ,and a bonus that it is separate from the main accommodation so you have your own entrance door. Fantastic breakfast ,will keep you going all day ,even after a 6 mile walk through some beautiful countryside. A great place to stay and enjoy the aea.

We had a wonderful stay here , with my brother and his wife staying in the next room. It was perfect for all of us especially with our own patio area between us. Ann made us most welcome and knew the right balance of help with excellent knowledge of the area and best places to eat. The accomodation was ideal...

My sister and I stopped here last September to celebrate her Birthday and go on some of our favourite walks in the area. The owners were friendly and pleasant. The room was very comfortable and well thought out. Breakfast was delicious, filling and there was plenty of it. All this found in a delightful Derbyshire village ideally located to take...

We had a stand at the Bakewell Wool Gathering, and needed a place to stay - the criteria being that there was parking, we could get a restful night's sleep, with breakfast, with somewhere to eat in the evening either on site or nearby. Chy an Dour fit all these criteria - it was 10 minutes in the car from...

We stayed for a pre-booked 2 nights and what a pleasant and comfortable experience it was. We had the large double which is ideal for that added extra comfort, but we have no doubt that all rooms are as equally comfortable. Breakfast was unhurried, beholding the fabulous views across the Peaks with everything being tasteful in every respect. B&B's are...

We happened on this B&B by accident - what luck! A lovely, comfortable B&B with four rooms, two in the main house and two downstairs accessed by an external stair. The house is built on a steep hill, and is unusual, but it works. One of the downstairs rooms is very dark, of necessity since the upstairs breakfast room was...

“The twin room gets the morning sun, the double gets the evening sun, in the main house. The downstairs rooms are darker, one in particular, but there is adequate electric lighting. There is some noise from birdsong, and also of sheep - lovely! (this is a B&B, not a hotel)”
