My wife and I went for a couple of days to the Peak District to see certain of the National Trust Houses, having checked for B and B's Round Meadow Barn came up as answering all our needs. We are very glad to have stayed at such a beautiful location and being met by Geoff and Gill as well as...

Booked at short notice for a 2 night stay to complete a walking challenge in the Peak District the focus wasn't on the bed & breakfast, we arrived late and were welcomed by both Gill, Geoff & Ellie into their home. We'd explained the reason for the visit and were touched by their welcoming nature to support us where they...

My husband and I spent two nights at Round Meadow Barn with my parents over the easter weekend. We couldn't have asked for a more generous welcome from Jack and Gill to their beautiful converted barn - all their own handiwork - or better hospitality over the weekend, from both our hosts and their charming pets, a Ellie the jack...

We were greeted with hot drinks and freshly baked cakes. The towels in our bedroom were neatly tied with ribbons with mint chocolates on top. A fantastic place to stay, walk and take in the scenery. The Travellers Rest is a short 15 minute walk down the road. After walking 13 miles to Madwoman rocks and back to Win Hill,...

Lovely house, clean bedroom and shared bathroom. I had originally booked the ensuite room and only when I phoned to check they had received the booking was I told that we wouldnt be able to have that room. Not overly welcoming, no introduction to house rules (review on trip advisor warned us about the curfew!) and very unhelpful when I...

set in a really great position, on a hillside with far reach views over Hope valley and reached down a gravel track - proper countryside! The house is nice and quite modern internally and the bath and shower rooms are all well fitted and work well. The owners are very helpful and courteous although the 11:00 lock out took us...

Having stayed here before, it was lovely to see Gill and Geoff again, they always give a warm welcome into their home, and do all they can to make you feel comfortable! We musnt forget to mention Ellie, their little Jack Russell who is both intelligent and comical! The views from any window are breathtaking..looking over Hope Valley, and the...

Booking confirmed to stay for three nights. Bought expensive tickets up to Hope valley. Received a curt email from the b&b that they couldn't accept my booking as they had given it elsewhere via phone earlier that day - get in touch with the site for your money back, bye. Couldn't get in touch with the b&b by phone or...

Initially chose this venue as is close to Ladybower Dam - Dambusters Museum. However, Museum is only open on Sundays but there are many local sights to see and the train to Manchester, from Hope Station, is less than an hour - why would you take your car?? B&B offers a wonderfully comfortable environment and delicious breakfasts - local produce...

“I believe the nicest of the rooms - particularly if you're a romantic couple seeking a weekend away is a large double at the opposite end of the house to the kitchen. Sorry I can't give you a room number or name.”

“Yes: be prepared to open and close a couple of pasture gates. Bring cash as hosts dont keep a credit card machine on premises. Be prepared to meet a lovely little 2 1/2 year old Jack Russell halfway down the drive (she's friendly, except to rabbits!) ... and bring a big appetite: breakfast is great !”
