Fantastic B&B accommodation in a relatively sparse region of the Peak District and ideal location-wise for work (in nearby Edale). Noreen and Eric provided a very warm welcome - quite literally with some tea and biscuits in the front room guest lounge after braving a long rainy drive from Huddersfield to Chapel in November! Their friendly hospitality made me feel...

Just returned from a 3 night stay. Noreen and Eric made us feel very welcome. The bedroom was very comfortable and very clean. The breakfasts were lovely, plenty of choice and freshly cooked. Highly recommend Forest Lodge

We only spent on night here, prior to a wedding, but we were made very weclome. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and we were welcome to stay in the lounge and change for the wedding beyond the normal check-out time. It was very good value as well.

Having talked to the owner on the phone to book (following an original call from a family member), we turned up on the day to find no reservation made and nowhere to stay. The owners were most unhelpful, and even denied any booking conversation taking place, despite proof of the conversation and booking. Shockingly unprofessional. Fortunately, we found a wonderful...

This couple had no proof that they had booked the room. They may have phoned me to ask for the price of the room and on being told how much it was, they said that they will call back to confirm but as far as I can remember, they did not call back. Rooms are booked on a first come,...

Having stayed several times we always feel as though we are now visiting family. Eric and Noreen always make us feel so welcome and we are well looked after. Forest Lodge is spotless and you can't fault anything. We would never stay anywhere else!

Very accommodating as we arrived late on the first night, and slept through our agreed breakfast time. Clean rooms, comfy bed and a delicious full English breakfast (with healthy portion size!) Room rate was the most reasonable I could find in the area (£65 per night) Very close to access the hills, especially if you are paragliding as its between...

Without a doubt, The Forest Lodge is the best B & B we have stayed in. We were greeted by a very excited Noreen who made us feel like long lost friends rather than guests, we were offered tea and biscuits before being shown to our room. The ensuite bedroom was spotless, comfortable and had all you would expect from...

The Forest Lodge can only be described as one of the best B&B,s in the Derbyshire area. Where would you find a four star which deserves to be a five star !! The ensuite bedrooms provide warmth, comfort, spotless surroundings, modern TV,s and all the extras you would expect in a place of three times the price. My Wife and...
