It is important to point out that we did not stay at Talbot House, we did however stop off for a bite to eat after a walk around the area. The food was simple home cooked produce, hot and served with a smile. What more could you ask for on a cold winters day.

I could find this place in the restaurant listings and it should be there as a different business? Found this place for lunch on a very quiet day in PB. Had very nice toasties and wish we had time to try the amazing selection of home baked cakes.

Stopped to have a look around Pateley Bridge & stopped for lunch at the Talbot house. Lovely little restaurant with a good choice of food, from sandwiches to cooked meals. Good range of beverages, cakes etc. My wife had homemade soup with hot crusty bread, perfect!. I had a sausage & onion baguette, again perfect. Bought two Pateley rascals to eat...

My friends and I visit The Talbot every week for lunch. We usually have something different every time, and each meal is delicious. The service is excellent as are the prices. All the staff are friendly and it's a very comfortable place to be in. You should try it!

Excellent all round B&B! The people who run the Talbot are really lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Everything was clean. The bed and bedding was so comfortable and the shower room was a good size! Breakfast was excellent quality and a good choice was offered. Thanks for a smashing stay!

Stayed overnight during our Way of the Roses cycle trip. Absolutely wonderful and we'll have no hesitation booking again. The lady owners couldn't do enough to make us comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding and we're looking forward to a return visit. Thank you!

Visited for morning cuppa and gorgeous homemade cakes. It was a sunny day so we sat in the courtyard however, the indoor rooms looked nice. Very friendly and obliging people. If this is anything to go by, I can only imagine that their B&B must be good. we would stay here if the opportunity arose.

We always enjoy our visits to this pleasant town and todays simple lunch was made so with a warm friendly welcome. Tasty egg mayonnaise sandwich and good cup of tea for my good lady. My coffee was freshly filtered and a sweet and tasty mint soup with hot roll and butter was served in a friendly manner. If the B...

Stayed here overnight after the first day of cycling. Very welcoming greeting. A little confused at first because it is a B and B not licensed, and works as a teashop cafe during the day, offering a wide range of home baked cakes. Good quality accommodation. Only had tea and toast for breakfast but there was a choice of full...

Have visited twice in the last month. Was recommended to try it by an acquaintance, who said the cakes were amazing and she wasn't wrong. On the first visit, I had proper sponge cake with jam and cream - it is so difficult to make a light, fluffy sponge, but this was beautiful. The second visit was a chocolate brownie,...
