Great location adjacent to Newgrange and the guest courtyard, lounge and kitchen are a bonus and relatively cheap. Our room which was ok for size was at the far back corner doenstairs with the small window facing into a wall. The bathroom while adequate had a broken bath. They offered to shift us to another room but as we had...

Stayed here with hubby and three kids as attending family function locally so location was main reason for choosing this accomodation. Poor all around ..on check in we discovered the two rooms we booked were on different floors - not good with kids in tow. The 'family' room was tiny. The 'twin' was bigger than the family room. Woken at...

Camped here for nine nights in October; can't beat the price at €10/night for one tent (two people). Very quiet, only one other (seemingly semi-permanent) camper. The field its self was fairly sloped, but manageable. A lot of rocks in the ground made trying to put in tent pegs a challenge and the grass looked like it hadn't been cut...

my partner and I stayed here over the long weekend and we were disappointed with our stay. The room smelled of damp and was cold and needed painting, the walls are paper thin and we found it difficult to sleep due to noise levels of other visitors, the bed clothes gave me a rash and felt unclean, there was absolutely...

The location is superb--just minutes away from Newgrange itself, an ancient burial chamber that celebrates the winter solstice like Stonehenge celebrates the summer solstice. Although the rooms themselves are basic, the wonderful common areas invite you to read, relax with friends, or simply enjoy the solitude and view. The staff are friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast was plentiful...

Newgrange Lodge is a very short walk from the entrance to the Newgrange Archaeological site, a UNESCO World Hertiage site, older than the Pyramids of Giza, older than Stonehenge. The Lodge is clean, comfortable and serves an adequate continental breakfast.

The Newgrange Lodge is very basic. Rooms are small and bathroom is very small. Place could use some refurbishment. Walls are thin. BUT, staff are wonderful and very helpful. If you're planning ta visit the 5,000 year old Newgrange Monument (which you should) it's less than a 5 minute walk from the Lodge. Rates are very modest. Gave it a...

This is average compared to all lodgings, better than average compared to hostels/lodges. Do your research on this facility and you will not be disappointed. This is a lodge/hostel. We stayed one night and had a private room that actually ended up having two single beds and one full bed. The room was clean, had a small TV, small bathroom,...

On the 21st of September i stayed here enroute from Belfast to home, I had been biking all day in Scotland and needed a place to sleep before returning home the following afternoon, I had pre-booked this b and b and was told that breakfast was included in my stay. On arrival at about 8.30pm I parked up my bike...

A quirky little place. Half hostel, half guest house, there are large common areas, both inside and out. This did make up for the smallish room we were in, as did the reasonable price. Also, the staff were friendly and accommodating. As the title suggests, it is as close as you can get to the Newgrange visitor center without actually...
