Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped for fuel and lunch while travelling to the NT. The roadhouse is very busy so we had to wait a while for fuel. Plenty of parking next to the roadhouse, clean toilets and a good selection of food.

Great bacon and egg burgers $13 and well worth it. Even the hot chips were good. Fuel $259.9 FOR DIESEL. Rooms were comfortable and clean at $150 a night. A long queue up to get fuel ad it is a very busy place.

We weren’t terribly fussed with the accomodation, very old and dusty around the edges. The basic room was clean as were the sheets and towels but the room and beds were pretty basic, but was suitable. No noise from the road so the room was fairly quiet but noisy neighbours could be a problem.

We stayed in the roadhouse motel for a night. It was OK but no more than this. It is not cheap for what you get. Worse, we were charged more than was quoted when I booked, allegedly, and incorrectly, because I only booked for one person. Subsequently, I contacted them about the overcharge. Twice we were promised a refund of the excess. This promise was not fulfilled.

Got some fuel, just a top up to get us through to Mt Isa. The facility and toilets were clean and plenty of area to have a walk. We both had a hamburger which was reasonable at $12.00. We liked the humour of the specials board

Like a lot of the PUMA Roadhouses in the NT Outback for fuel stops this one was OK. Good parking area off to the side to get out and stretch your legs. Limited selection if you wanted a quick snack or cold drink.

We stopped and had a very good bacon and egg sandwich here this morning which we ate at Georgina River when it was still hot. Staff were friendly and efficient. Huge parking area, good for caravan. 4G available. Recommended.

Stayed here in a motel room on the 18-19/12/2019 and it was an absolute pleasure after 1600kms of driving. The room is extremely clean, smells nice and is obviously well looked after. The rooms are basic, however between Katherine and Mt Isa you’re not going to find accomodation different than this anywhere else, however the level of presentation really is the highest standard that we have come across anywhere between WA to SEQ. Price is fair for what you get. Thank you for giving a couple of weary travellers an above average place to stay on our trip.

After a long drive from Tennant Creek, it was good to get here and settle in to our unpowered overnight site. It was a matter of picking our own stop which we did: there was some grass and plenty of space. Prices are OK given where you are. Amenities are adequate but older: the hot water was good.
