The hotel is just by the ski slope. Rooms are small but ok. Restaurant serves a big breakfast buffet which has everything. Dinner is really good, a la carte, but expensive. Nice lounge area for drinks snd after ski. Spa area in the basement with treatments, sauna and pool. Unfortunately you have to pay extra for using sauna and pool... More

The hotel itself feels worn down and it is not the best service. We had to make up our own sofa beds or bunker beds which was a surprise arriving at 3am. The skiing is absolutely smashing and that is why you go here. Be prepared to wake up at 2am when the night club closes and again at 4... More

The journey to Riksgränsen had been on my bucket list for many years. A last minute opening at the hotel located at the base of the ski resort combined with a feeling that we didn't ski enough this winter convinced my husband and I to book and go. Please note - if you're thinking of heading to Riksgränsen, book early.... More

Just got back from Riksgransen skiing with friends from Stockholm and this is somewhere different I have to say! The place has a real old feel to it, no need to worry about the latest trends and who's wearing what, people go here to ski and not to pose around. Went heli-skiing and its worth thet money, you get out... More

Riksgransen is just awesome. We had a fabulous May Day weekend heli skiing in the most amazing terrain on the planet. We can't go back to the Alps. No need to take off your ski boots (or clothes), spa looks over a gorgeous view of frozen landscape, burgers are brill ! & the ever open audition for Wayne's World caps... More

From this traditional hotel in Sweden ,which we stopped at on a trip from our cruise ship on a trip to see the Northern Lights .As it had been snowing it was very pretty ,and we were able to buy morning drinks which warmed us up

My son and I decided to do some late season ski touring in Riksgränsen. The last weekend of the season (except for Midsummer). The resort is well known and it was our first time there. We had a skier room, quite small, but sufficient for its purpose. Breakfast was good, afterski was good. The hotel could use a working over,... More

Ahh, memories. Having worked at this ski resort in the 70's I was eager to visit the place and show it to my son. It is all still there but with a different atmosphere. Then; you could only reach the ski resort by train (19 hours from Stockholm) and you can still do that. But it is easier to fly... More

The hotel is reasonably basic. There are a number of different room options, all of which are as per the booking website. We took a skier's apartment, which has a separate lounge/kitchen area, bedroom, entrance hall and shower room with drying cupboard. Linen & towels are an extra charge if you want them included with the room. There is absolutely... More

Wonderful skiing if the weather allows it. The hotel is bad. It needs many, many improvements... there´s no supermarkets or restaurants near to the hotel. The hotel is very dated and the service is low. The hotel could be so much more. Everything is very expensive.
