Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you like good food, then the meals at this pub were worth taking the drive to this lovely country town. it is lovely to just relax and enjoy the country view from the verandah - the two for one parmy is huge and perfectly cooked. As locals we keep going back for the sheila steak and melt in your mouth calamari, their side salads are yum not over complex and the flavour just right.

We had to show proof of vaccine here which was not a problem, but our 14 year old daughter did not bring her phone with her and we could not show proof of her vaccine, and because of this the lady behind the bar told we had to leave and were not allowed to even be in the outside area. We googled and found on Qld govermment website covid rules that children under 16 does not have to show proof. Showed it to the lady behind the bar, and then she didnt say anything about it. She didnt seem to happy about it. We ended up sitting outside in the hot sun and ordered some lunch. The food came out quick and tasted delicious. We had the hamburgers.

Mount Perry is not exactly a tourist hotspot, but it does make for a pleasant ride from Bundaberg or Childers. This hotel is pretty much your average country pub, full of locals and visitors enjoying a quiet ale. Flat parking directly outside and a short walk over to the army tank in the park.

We dined there when passing through over the weekend. We ordered a menu item but were disappointed when the prawns tasted off and old. The manager then accused us of eating the majority of the dish which we had a fork each and decided it tasted terrible. We requested our money back but she was rude and uncooperative saying that there were "no problems" with the dish last night. She continued to deny our request and again accused us of sending back an empty dish when we literally only tasted a prawn. Utterly horrendous service and would not recommend

A relaxing country pub in an old mining town that feels like going back in time. Fantastic area to visit. We were driving through the area admiring the scenery and decided to stop for some refreshments and food. We sat around talking to friendly locals and ate a huge plateful of roast and veg that was well worth the price. Highly recommend stop off when in this area.

We recently went to this location which is under new management and had a most enjoyable afternoon. The service was brilliant, the meals were reasonably priced and the atmosphere was heartwarming. Take the time to stop and support this new manager and team, they will make it memorable.

This little ugly duckling offers a friendly service and an inexpensive and tasty lunch. Hubby had a Chicken Parmi, that was quite large and unlike so many that you get it was not overcooked. Instead it was moist and well fried. My Salt and Pepper Calamari could be cut with the fork, melt in the mouth delicious. Other than that we got to chatting to locals at the bar and felt very welcome
