The hotel is well situated for access to the M6, making it ideal for a break from a long journey. Although called a hotel, it is really a bed and breakfast. It advertises a restaurant but I never saw anyone eat in there nor a...More
Arrived hoping for a meal as. A restaurant was mentioned on web site. But was told no evening meals. The room was dated. Curtains coming off the rail. Found empty crisp packets in draw. Nice shower and warm room. Didn't sleep due to uncomfortable bed....More
Really friendly owners, gave us a great recommendation for dinner (see Old Mill Alsager). Room was very big and great for all of us. It is dated but for what we paid I cannot complain. There's a great garden you can walk the dogs in...More
Friendly welcome by the owner. Pleasant hotel with carpark and gardens. Decor could benefit of updating. Would prefer a walk in shower, not shower in bath. The breakfast was filling. Definitely stay again.
My room was comfortable, but the furnishings in the entire property are a bit dated, with frilly curtains, embossed wallpaper and plastic flowers. Not really to my taste! Bus 3 between Hanley and Crewe runs every 30 minutes and stops a few yards away. Friendly...More

The room were we stayed was spacious enough and the room were our friends stayed was even bigger. No complaints there, but we travelled with no children.

We had a room at the back which was quiet and comfortable. It was of average size but plenty big enough for our labrador as well. We had an enjoyable meal at the Old Mill Inn - turn left from Holly Trees and you will then see a sign for the Old Mill on your right. The approach to the pub is right by the sign - it looks as if you are driving into a farm entrance but the Old Mill Inn is down there as well!
