we stayed at Pozo de Cielo while on a Colca canyon tour organised by SAS travel. The setting is nice with nice restaurant and reception area. Our rooms were big with heater and electric blankets (although mine did not seem to work) It is very clean However the location is poor as it is away from the city centre (perhaps...

We stayed here on our way to Colca Canyon, the room was huge (triple), the hotel grounds are very nice and the views are great. The bathroom was clean. The breakfast was abundant and delicious, we were very pleased. Weather is extremely cold, so pack a good jacket.

October is apparently a great time to visit peru as the rains haven't started yet, and the temperature is higher than in the june-july months. Having said that at 4000 meters it's COLD, with temperatures often remindful of the UK, and hotels at best providing a small electric heater, so the fact that Pozo del Cielo provides electric blankets on...

Staff is really nice, treats you very kindly, rooms are ok, not great not bad. Location: hotel a little bit far from the city but you can walk. The only issue is when you are coming back. You need to walk up for some meters and with altitude sickness it is a little though. Problem here: no hot water! Cold...

We stayed for just one night at this hotel as part of a tour. The location is excellent, just a short walk from Chivay town (which is lovely) and you can hike the hill close to the hotel for supreme views of the smoking volcano that overlooks the town. BUT our room was incredibly cold, virtually underground, it was dark,...

We had an incredibly beautiful room in a quaint stone-like chalet with a fireplace that also had an electric blanket on our king-sized bed. The flat screened TV was also fantastic! We certainly were not cold the night that we stayed here and were in fact very comfortable. We quite enjoyed our included breakfast the next morning; however, dinner the...

Room had fire and bed had electric blankets as gets very cold in evenings. Plenty blankets on bed but weight of blankets very heavy. Heater on timer so...

Pozo del Cielo was one of the many hotels we stayed in while visiting Peru. Our room included a good sized TV, electric blankets for cold nights, comfortable bed, and a good clean bathroom. The breakfast was fresh and delicious!! The only down side was that the wifi was only in the lobby, but other than that it definitely deserves...
