I stayed only for one night, but a very pleasant stay. The hotel is very well located, with friendly staff who provided me with maps of the area for walks. Clean and with a beautiful patio with open views on the surrounding mountains.

I had a lovely evening here. The shower was the best I've had in Peru and so welcome after hiking in Colca Canyon. The staff were helpful and the food in the restaurant very tasty. Chivay was a lovely little town and the hot springs are a must!

We didn't stay at the hotel, but we ate at the restaurant which produces nice typical food in a friendly mainly locals space. The chicken was excellent and the trout was good (if a bit over cooked). The soups were good as well. A nice place to eat surrounded by local families.

The rooms were good and the location too, hot shower was perfect but I found it very expensive for what you get. The guy in the reception was most likely super tired of tourists and barely looked or smiled at us...just providing the basic information. the breakfast was simple but included in the price and early in the morning -...

Nice and clean room, friendly staff. Right in the center of town. There is a nice interior courtyard and it was quite quiet at night, though it is right in the middle of town. We enjoyed our 1 night stay here.

Not normally picky about where we stay, my friends and I were keen for a hot shower and decent sleep after Colca canyon. However there was no hot water, short hard beds and a huge group of school children ran around until late into the night. We also arranged with two different people for breakfast to be at 5.30 which...

We had two nights in this hostal. Ok for a short stay but nothing special. Nice, hot showers. Breakfast rather disappointing. No heaters for cold nights. Large rooms. We had much better stays for 70 S/. in the Colca region.

Rooms are decent size. Bathrooms adequate and clean. There is hot water! yeah. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast good. Felt comfortable. Would stay there again. It gets really cold at night. There is not heat but lots of blankets. Makes it tough to get up in the morning.

I don't understand how this place rated well. It is very basic. Reasonably clean with hot water and close to the town square being the main attractions, The place has no charm or extra comfort. The re is no added extras (like a map of the town). We booked 2 days and I am not happy. To be honest, going...

we were only here for one night but were a bit disappointed. It was quite expensive - a lot more than other hostels in chivay - and the room, while it was fine and clean, was not worth 70 soles. the walls were very thin, which meant that it was incredibly cold and also that we were woken up all...

“Ground floor rooms are probably quieter. There is an announcement over loudspeaker every morning at 5:00 am; news of the day in any Andean town, instead of a newspaper. It was disturbing on the second floor. My friend stayed on the ground floor and wasn't bothered by it.”
