Our second stay here and we enjoyed our stay even more than the first time. Admittedly we had glorious weather throughout which always helps, however you really cannot fault the Royal Hideaway. We stsy in the Suites which are apartments, all well equipped with 2x daily cleaning service, a great kitchen area, huge TV with all the main TV channels Massive bed, v comfortable.Great breakfast, can't be beaten IMHO. I could wax lyrical about the place for pages but it comes down to one thing.. The brilliant staff: the cleaners who keep the place pristine, the technicians, porters, reception, managers, waiters, chefs. Each and every person working there smiles, always greets you and treats you with such warmth and an attitude that nothing is too much trouble. Be warned though that this hotel is away from the busy nightlife, it's a very quiet location with just a tiny bay with a handful of family run restaurants, more of a village really.the quiet suits us which is why we like it. If you are a lover of lively bars and nightlife, you may want to look at other options! We are already looking to book next year's holiday. Thank you Royal Hideaway suites for the best holiday we have ever had.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday in a deluxe two bedroomed villa with pool. We have had an amazing holiday and felt very safe and well looked after by all the team at the hotel. It has only been open a few weeks since being shut down due to COVID-19 and most of the hotels around are still closed but the Royal hideaway has gone out of its way to open and make everything as safe as possible for its guests.
The adults only part of the hotel is still closed so there is only one main pool open and only two restaurants and breakfast restaurant. This idid not spoil our holiday at all in fact because it was so lovely and quiet it made it feel very special. From the moment we arrived we felt looked after by the team. You have to wear masks in all the communal areas and when you enter the restaurants but once you’re sat down you do not have to wear your mask and you do not have to wear a mask once you’re lying by the pool. All the staff wear masks including all the cleaning staff and the rooms were spotlessly cleaned every day. There is hand sanitiser to use all around the hotel in every room and area. They take the health of their guests very seriously and it is sad to see that some of the guests feel they do not have to wear masks. It is most inconsiderate to the other guests and also to the staff and their health and safety.
The food at both restaurants was delicious especially the Italian restaurant. It is some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. The service in both restaurants is excellent. The room service is also very good.
Our room was spotlessly clean extremely big and very comfortable. It has everything you can possibly think of and an amazing view too.
My only criticism of the hotel was one member of staff who worked at reception the afternoon of the last day we were there, 17th July. ( I believe he may have been called Leo) I telephoned for some bottled water and when it had not arrived an hour later I rang again to be told I’d only been waiting 25 minutes when I’d been waiting over an hour. He was extremely rude to me instead of apologising to me. The water eventually arrived THREE hours later. It was very disappointing when we had had a week of amazing service and all the rest of the staff especially the gentleman on reception who works in the mornings are just delightful. The gentleman who was rude spoilt the end of the holiday for us. It may seem petty to mention it but it was such a shock when everyone else had been so nice and he was accusing me of lying. It’s a very difficult time for tourism and I am surprised that he behaves like this when there are so many other people who would love to have his job in such a beautiful hotel. ( rant over!)
If you are considering going on holiday during these difficult times I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. It is probably a great time to go because it is so lovely and quiet and you get such personal service, with amazing rooms and a beautiful setting.

We had booked to go on holiday here in October but our tour company cancelled the trip because of covid restrictions. We rebooked for a break immediately before Christmas and were not disappointed.
The hotel has the "wow" factor from the moment you enter the foyer. Built directly into the rocks , it is a stunning mixture of the natural, enhanced by light projections, marble and water features. Staff were pleasant and helpful at all times.
We had a 2 bedroom villa with pool which was heaven. It was spacious, modern and very clean. We had a large terrace outside built around the pool with stunning views out to sea.
The breakfast was excellent and covid safety precautions sensible and reassuring. Food was freshly cooked or served by a member of staff with very limited sef service options. Cereals, fruit etc was served in presealed kilner jars to reduce touch points. Our teenagers enjoyed the waffles and pancakes whilst we loved the cooked options, breads, ham and cheese. We ate outside every morning bar one when the wind was too high. Tables were well spaced and our temperatures were taken before being shown to our table.
We ate at the Italian restaurant a few nights and generally speaking enjoyed our meals. The prices are on the high side and I was disappointed when ordering the mean course crab ravioli special one night which, on arrival, consisted of four delicious ravioli... at just over 5 euros per piece... Staff listened to my complaint and did their best to put things right. Not much evidence of vegetables or side dishes either.
My other concern (no reflection on the hotel, more the other guests) was that someone obviously overheard me charging something to my room and went on a spending spree in my name which was only discovered when we came to check out. Again, the staff could see easily what had happened and dealt with the situation brilliantly. Sad that they had to, however.
We wouldn't hesitate to return here, in fact have already re-booked for the autumn.
A true class above the other Adeje hotels.

I’ll start with the good: the room (we had one of the 2 bedroom penthouses with pool on balcony) is really nice. But that’s it!
I’ve stayed here before and it was pretty good but I think the staff has changed because the service this time was really really bad. We travel most of the year so have seen all sorts but we paid nearly £1000 a night for this hotel and so expected decent service.
Issues:
The worst one was the ‘kids club’. We put our 8 year old twins in. There was around 12-15 kids with just one very young girl trying to look after them all. There was no control at all!
On the movie night we went to pick our kids up and one of ours was scared. I asked what they had watched and it was a film with a 12 certificate. There were 5 year olds in the room! When I complained to reception the receptionist with red hair just shrugged and said ‘well perhaps the other parents were ok with it’. Why would I care about that?! I’m not ok with you showing my kids a 12 rated film. Nothing was done. So they didn’t go to the kids club at all after that because I didn’t trust that an adult was looking after them.
Secondly there was a storm on our final night and one of the cupboards near our room banged all night. They came up at 3am to fix but said they didn’t know how so we got no sleep at all. And then a glass pane on our balcony smashed into the pool because of the wind (see picture) and when we told reception they just said yeah, the storm was bad’. No apology, nothing!
The food in the buffet was stone cold every single time. Not even lukewarm. The food made there and then was ok.
We asked for teabags as they don’t replenish stuff in the room and it took an hour and a half of chasing to bring them up.
I just wouldn’t go back. For the premium they charge you could get a much better hotel where the service matches the quality of the room.

Dear willow3006, First of all, we would like to thank you for sharing your opinion about your recent stay among us. It helps us to understand how to improve our services. We are truly sorry to read that your experience with us did not meet your expectations and that we were not able to provide you a positive and memorable experience as the first time. We sincerely lament to read your comments about our kids club since it does not fit with our usual standards. We have taken good note of them and will not fail to share your comments with our head of entertainment for further revision. Our staff work tirelessly every day to keep our guests entertained by preparing a program that appeal to our guests of all ages and nationalities and we will continue working on this area, to avoid situations like those in the future. Regarding the incidents we suffered during and after the worst sandstorm in Tenerife in 20 years, we would like to offer our most sincere apologies as we clearly were not performing to our usual standards on this occasion due to the external weather conditions. We deeply regret that you had to suffer that kind of situation during the night. On behalf of the Reception team, we apologize not having been able to transmit the real feeling we had of lamenting the complete situation we were living. Please be assured that your comments will be taken into serious consideration and that they will help us to improve our services. Once again, thank you for your time and despite the issues you have raised following your stay, we sincerely hope that you will allow us another opportunity to demonstrate our true level of hospitality and interest in serving you properly in the future. Kind regards, Fernando Turnes General Manager Royal Hideaway Corales Resort 5*****GL

Our stay here was both for business and pleasure, as it is an excellent hotel for staying as part of a luxury golf package holiday or a luxury romantic retreat.
It has the "wow " factor, every detail from check in to departure is catered for, rooms are extremely large and modern, with stunning views and luxury touches, the staff are attentive and courteous and make you feel very welcome.
The attention to hygiene in public spaces, restaurants and accommodation are outstanding and the health and safety of both clients and staff is impeccable.
Highly recommended and can´t wait to return.

We had a wonderful time at the Royal Hideaway Coral Suites during the February half term. It was great to find a beautiful hotel which catered for children and adults so well.
We stayed in a two bedroom suite with a private pool in a great location close enough to the pool to allow our daughter to walk on her own and with uninterrupted views of La Gomera (we were not directly in front of the main pool or restaurant as some of the suites seem to be) room 1220.
The staff are absolutely lovely and can't do enough to help. The check in was a lovely experience, the rooms were always kept spotless, the staff around the pool couldn't do enough to help you and the little complimentary mini cocktails were a lovely treat.
The pool was always vibrant but never too busy and it's a short walk to La Caleta with lovely restaurants. We'd recommend El Mirlo.
Unfortunately we did have one issue which was quite upsetting, we arranged a courtesy room to change as we had to check out a few hours before needing to change to go to the airport, despite the hotel knowing we had a child with us we were given a courtesy room in the adult only section of the hotel, and in complete contrast to all of the service we had received for the rest of our stay we were made to feel like it was our fault that we had been given a non child friendly room to change in, all this was going on whilst my daughter was listening and she started to feel like it was her fault. We were eventually given the room after the lady made some calls to get 'clearance', the room was about 20 steps away from reception and we did not have to walk through or past any area where any of the adult only guests may have spotted my 11 year old daughter! We only needed the room for 20 minutes to change out of our wet swimwear (I did wonder if we were looking smarter if we would've been treated differently). It was really not a good end to such a lovely holiday. I hope that this does not happen to other guests and their children.
Despite this experience, all of the rest of the hotel is absolutely faultless for a lovely, family holiday which I would recommend.

We are a family of 4 with 2 adult daughters who stayed in a 2 bed suite with a pool. Check-in was sitting in a comfortable chair with a refreshing towel and a glass of bubbles whilst the staff took care of room allocation, passports and the suitcases.
This attention to detail was apparent throughout the whole stayed, from placing your towels and adjusting your parasol by the pool to the turn down and chocolate every evening.
Every single member of staff greeted us with 'Buenos Dias' and a smile. We will be with you straight away meant exactly that, and the one occasion where we had to remind staff that we were waiting for drinks they were complimentary of the pool team. If you are using the pool service don't be tempted to use the app. It doesn't work like a true app instead sending an email that can take time to get through to the bar/kitchen. Hopefully that can be fixed as it is a good idea.
The room was cleaned everyday like we new guests, clean towels, toilet paper folded and furniture placed back. The suite was equipped with everything you need, including dishwasher and laundry tabs, wall mounted toiletries and a 'proper' hairdryer. WiFi was fine in the room but a bit ropey around the pool.
Pools only open at 09:30, so no early morning scramble for beds. Some guests do stretch the no reservation rule a little bit, but there were always some beds available.
When you read the reviews on this hotel it is easy to think you could over estimate just how good it is, but you won't. It is everything you expect and more.
One piece of advice is book in the local restaurants as they are busy from 19:00 - 22:30

Upon entry to the hotel, you feel like you’re going into an underground cavern – very architecturally impressive. We left the luggage with the guys outside and had a very warm welcome from the reception staff with cool towels and drinks. Check in was very easy and pleasant. This was our second visit here, so they were keen to point out the changes since our last stay.
We were escorted to the room and shown around. We had a single bedroom suite room with the kids on the pull-out sofa in the main room and the adults in the bedroom. Despite this the room still felt very spacious and comfortable for four people with a great balcony you can sit out on for hours. The rooms are very well appointed with a kitchen and good range of glass and tableware, a washing and drying machine and loads of lovely towels and robes. The bed is a really, really good size for those who like to stretch out. The only downside to the room is it flows from the bedroom to bathroom, and whilst the toilet does have a door, it’s only glass and has gaps at the top meaning not a lot of privacy if you had a bad meal the night before!
Being a split resort with an adult only end having children here was great as you didn’t need to feel like you constantly had to watch them and remind them not to talk too loudly, hurry along and use their fork! However, even with the kids it still managed to maintain a top end feel giving us adults the sense of a luxury break. The pool was good, with daily activities (some of the pool classes you need to book onto before hand when equipment is being used such as bikes!).
There is an onsite kids club which runs 10 to 2(ish), then later in the afternoon and on certain nights they have a movie night till about 10pm. For some reason my little cherubs were not massively up for going to club this holiday but on the times they did they had a good time. Staff were very good; language was not an issue and the timetable seemed to have something for everyone at a certain point.
We didn’t really make the most of the onsite restaurants during our stay, partly because there are loads of good ones nearby and secondly whilst they state they will make stuff for children there wasn’t a specific menu for them – and being honest, on holiday I’m happy to let them have nuggets and chips if that’s what they want rather than suggesting they try a fancy pasta dish (but that’s just me being lazy – if yours like their food then I’m sure they’re great).
Breakfast was good though, no complaints there and throughout our stay the staff were brilliant. There is parking in the hotel for a charge, but you can park outside the hotel with no hassle so no something I would suggest you needed.
In summary then, a great stay in a child friendly resort with style, which left you as an adult feeling like you got what you wanted and needed from a break.

Amazing design, warmest of welcomes from all staff, spotless, lovely views and the suites have everything you need for a family holiday (washer, dryer, fully equipped kitchen). Very quiet, didn’t hear any noise from above, next door etc. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in and the best breakfast selection of any hotel, well worth getting bed & breakfast.
The people made a real difference, for example Justyna at breakfast was a joy to see each morning, Carmen, Johnny and Loreta at the kids club/animation team.
Great location with La Caleta town a short walk away, real local atmosphere there walking along the sea front with crabs on the rocks, locals jumping into the sea and there was a local festival on one of the weekends we were there.
The hotel is beautiful and main pool area is no exception but be careful of the floor tiles around the pool, especially for kids - they’re very slippery when wet.
The hotel could do with having a better map to make it easier to find your bearings at the start.
Would be great to have more kids food choices/kids menus in the various restaurants and room service - for younger kids.
If you’re going into La Caleta from the suites with young kids, ask the team for a lift on the hotel buggies along the path to the other
Also - one of our children is under 4 so we couldn’t put them into kids club, we worked out on the last day that the hotel can arrange for a babysitter to stay with under 4s at the kids club. If parents of young kids want a couple of hours rest then this is a great option which the hotel could advertise more.

Being the first trip we’ve taken for a while(!) I spent a long time looking for the perfect hotel. Despite the stunning pictures and outstanding reviews, there was still an level of anxiety that it wouldn’t live up to the hype. But it did, and beyond. Visually stunning, the rooms and hotel really do look like something from an architectural design magazine. The various teams from Concierge, Reception & Housekeeping couldn’t do enough to help and make our stay enjoyable, whilst ensuring the whole hotel was spotless. We booked a junior suite and an ocean view, which didn’t disappoint. Great views across across the beach and the incoming paragliders. The terrace was huge with plenary of room for both of us to independently in sun or shade as we wanted But special mention needs to go to the various restaurants. I’m not usually a person who eats in a hotel restaurant, preferring to venture out, however breakfast, lunch and dinner were to such a high standard we ended up eating in all week. The attention to detail, quality of food and service at Starfish Atlantic Grill meant we ate there most evenings. San Ho the Asian Fusion restaurant was another hidden gem. For such a large hotel the staff were able to maintain the atmosphere and quality of somewhere much more intimate and personal. An amazing week, so much so we’re hoping to return with friends in a few months.

There are loads of nice restaurants in la caleta between the hotel and the sea, and a few cafes. There are also 3 restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance along the coast. They are in resorts rather than what you might think of as town
It isn’t very salty, there are 3 pools & I can’t vouch for the toddler pool but the other 2 are absolutely fine. Don’t be put off, it’s the most marvellous place & they love kids. Enjoy
I am that traveller.
What you want to do (highly recommended) is call the property and specifically ask them if there's a festival of some sort planned in the neighboring theme park, like they had beginning of August. I think they will be forthcoming with you. The staff in the hotel made a great impression.
Yes, check out my photos to see where it is.
In my suite there were two sliding doors, either side of the "central column" onto which both TVs were attached.
The sliding door nearest the balcony would close neatly inbetween the handles for the sliding doors for the balcony.
