Alan and Margaret are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. My mother and father have been staying with them for 20 years and my mother calls the Beachgate Guest House "home from home". This was my second stay and I cannot wait to return. The breakfasts are delicious and so moreish that you don't need a lunch! Alan's porridge followed by his full vegan "Scottish" are amazing. The rooms are immaculate with such an attention to detail. Thank you, Alan and Margaret for making our stay so perfect and take care until next time.

Alan and his mum have become family friends by taking such good care of my father in law and his late wife for many years. It was my first visit to his fabulous guest house and it really is as wonderful as they had said. You will not find a more caring and attentive host. The house is kept perfectly and the breakfast is devine. I'm still full and I ate 8 hours ago. Look no further you must stay here you will not be disappointed. Thank you for a most wonderful stay.

Unfortunately we only stayed on night at Beachgate House. Our welcome was like calling in on an old friend. Our hosts were wonderful and we felt totally at home. The room was beautifully appointed with a magnificent view over the North Sea. The Guest House is beautifully appointed with family photos and wonderful figurines. Breakfast who a whole new experience. The porridge, bacon and eggs were superb and served on elegant porcelain china.

We were only here for one night but it was one of the best nights of our 9 day trip through Scotland. What a lovely place this was. The hosts are absolutely amazing and the room was so clean with a view that was fabulous. We slept well and enjoyed the little extras so much. The hosts west above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the ambiance of the china etc was wonderful. Great Scottish experience. Highly recommend!

Very nice room and bathroom, with direct view on the sea. The bed was comfortable bed and the room is nicely decorated. Breakfast menu had good choices and offers a good quality, served in an elegant silvered porcelain. We were the only ones at that time, so in total it was quiet during the night, both from outside and inside (no noise from adjacent room). Room is not really big and there is no lounge available for guests during the day, that was for us a bit disappointing, compared to other B&B, breakfast room not accessible during daytime.

Lovely warm welcome at Beachgate House. Rooms were spotlessly clean and bed really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Perfect location overlooking the beach, nice to hear the waves crashing.

Nice welcome at the B&B on the Prom. Parking a bit tight but we made it! Very nice room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and nice views. Breakfast menu had good choices and we especially enjoyed the fresh fruit and berries. Staff were very caring and attentive which really makes the difference. Would not hesitate to recommend this property.

We stay at the Beachgate on average twice a year & have done so for the past 11 years. Although we have used other B&B's in the town, when Beachgate has been fully booked, they fall far short of the standard experienced at Beachgate. Alan & Margaret are the perfect hosts. They are very friendly & helpful with nothing being a bother. The decor is beautiful & constantly being updated. The whole of the house is immaculate. Breakfast is outstanding with numerous choices to suit all palates, much better choice than a hotel. We have a better night's sleep here than we do at home since the beds are so comfortable and each room has magnificent views. You walk outside the building and you are directly on the promenade with comfortable walks in both directions providing spectacular scenery. With such wonderful hospitality we would never consider staying elsewhere.

Another superb stay at Beachgate House. The accommodation is first class, tastefully decorated and immaculately kept. Alan and Margaret are the perfect hosts who love to make your stay a special occasion. The breakfast is superb with a huge choice and rivals any we have had in any hotel around the world. In summary Beachgate House is a real “gem” and if you choose to stay here you will definitely be impressed.

This is one of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in! Rooms and devour throughout would put most 5 star hotels to shame! Views from the room i had were stunning and it's located on the beachfront so excellent for a nice walk along the coast. Hospitality was first class with the owner, Allan offering a nice G&T to sit back, relax and have a chat over! Breakfast was excellent too with an excellent variety on offer. I went for porridge followed by duck eggs and smoked salmon - superb. Can't recommend this B&B highly enough - suffice to say if I'm ever back in Stonehaven or nearby I'll be going back. Already planning this!
