This is our second stay, the first in 2019. The lodge looks as fresh and clean as it did back then and it feels like nobody has been there before me. It is an exceptional cabin with a kitchen that is very well stocked with cooking utensils, appliances and crockery. There is a smart TV in the lounge area, an outside sitting area and also a shed for storing bikes. Parking is off road and all lodges have individual parking spaces. There are little welcome touches such as milk and biscuits, and there is plenty of tea, coffee and sugar for use during the stay. They even provide umbrellas and shopping bags should you need to use them. The booking process was exceptional and lots of helpful information was provided for our stay. It's a great location for exploring the area. Trains do pass by quite close to the cabin, but you hardly notice them so don't let that put you off. It is in a very quiet and private setting. The bedrooms are a little on the small side, so there isn't a dressing table to sit at to do hair and makeup, but the beds are so very comfortable and the bathrooms are excellent. There are many added touches and the overall luxury and thoughtfulness of the lodge makes up for the small annoyances and I would definitely recommend a stay here.

From the minute you pass through the gates on arrival to the time you say goodbye, your breath is taken away with the amount of effort that has been put into making your stay here the most luxurious and welcoming time. From the landscaping to the privacy of each lodge has had a lot of thought put into it. Gardens are well kept and clean, and the lodges have a very welcoming feeling. Kelly gives you a very warm welcome with a lovely cheery smile, gift of the gab comes to mind, in a very nice way, makes you feel at home, and Robert her dad was busy helping in the garden beds was always very helpful and cheery too.
The lodges are well secure with your own special code, it speaks to you telling you the door is open, which is good if you have children and they open the door, so a lot of thought has went into family safety.
Entering the lodge the decor is luxurious, leather corner suite, glass dining table 4 chairs, smart tv and free Wi-Fi.
The kitchen is well equipped with , cooker/microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher,washing machine and full crockery.
2 bedrooms where the beds can either be double or single, 1 room on suite, the other a full bathroom with shower. The beds are very comfy and linen changed during your stay. Ironing board and iron is in the large cupboard where it houses a free safe and gun cupboard.
Out on the patio is a full table and 4 chairs. There is also a lockable shed where you can store your cycles or golf clubs .
If your a golfer you get a free round of golf too. Meals at the golf club are very reasonable and delicious,
There is loads to do round about, getting about is easy too, the local taxi service is cheap and very helpful too.
This is the second time we have been here, and we rebooked for next year before leaving, we would 100% recommend you book and enjoy a thoroughly luxurious relaxing holiday, a home from home .

Everything about our experience with Dalriada lodges was wonderful & we had a gorgeous stay over Christmas. We stayed in Garron: it was very clean, comfortable & cosy & even had a couple of little trees to make it feel festive. There was everything that we needed when we landed after a long journey; from milk for a cuppa to dishwasher tabs and dog treats! The welcome app & the instruction booklet provided clear instructions on how to work everything.
My dad was on crutches & has a visual impairment & found it easy to get around as it is all on one level. We found the code entry systems great; meant we could all pop out at separate times and not worry about being able to get back in.
Location wise, the lodges are easy to get to from the A90 & well signposted from B979. It’s not too far from Stonehaven & a short drive to Aberdeen so plenty to do in the surrounding area. The lodge itself overlooks the sea, so we got to witness some lovely sunrises whilst we were there.
Special mention to Kelly who was a pleasure to deal with. She was incredibly helpful from booking to arrival & clearly paid a lot of attention to detail; I’d mentioned we were likely to be spending Xmas day there & there was a disposable tray in the kitchen for our turkey crown which was one less thing I had to worry about! There was also a wee Christmas card & some chocs on the table when we arrived. Little touches like that really made the stay extra special. I have nothing but praise for this accommodation (I only wish I could have stayed longer!)
If considering a stay, it’s definitely worth booking with them directly for the best price.

I planned a trip to the North East of Scotland to visit family and was looking for rental properties with EV charging within a reasonable distance of Aberdeen.
Dalriada Luxury Lodges ticked all of the boxes and rightly call themselves luxury. The property is located immediately above Stonehaven Golf Club overlooking the bay and the town of Stonehaven. The views are stunning and the property is about a 15/20 minute walk into the town.
The lodges each have two bedrooms both with en-suite and are luxuriously appointed throughout with everything that you would need included. There is a fairly busy railway line just in front of the lodges but after a few hours you hardly notice the passing trains.
Kelly, the owner is very attentive but unobtrusive and met all of our needs throughout.
The level of cleaning within the lodges is to an exceptionally high standard and the welcome pack for me and my dog was a nice touch.
I will revisit the North East of Scotland again in the future and will definitely stay at Dalriada again and would have no hesitation recommending them to others.

Kelly does really a really good job, presenting the lodges immaculately with lots of nice little touches to make you feel welcome from the moment you open the door.
Stonehaven is only a short walk (25 mins) with its own pubs and cafés in and around the old harbour, all worth a visit.
Dunnottar Castle, Donnattar Woods and RSPB Fowlsheugh are all within a few minutes drive and are great places to walk the dog.

This was our second visit to Dalriada and certainly won't be our last.
Lodges are luxury throughout, with top of the range kitchen equipment, well appointed with luxury fixtures and fittings. We had our two dogs with us who were welcomed with biscuits, bowls and a ball donated by Kellys (owner) dogs . There is also non dog friendly lodges. The position of the lodges are convient for town and close to main roads if you wish to visit further afield.
Kelly was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
During this visit we decided this is our favourite chill out destination and we can relax with comfort and luxury. We also noticed that there are Car Charging points outside every lodge.
We hope to return soon for more R & R.

We stayed with our family (two children aged 12 and 14) for 4 nights in this accommodation. It is the first time we spent our summer holidays in Scotland. The Lodges are of very high quality and very beautifully located, just a half-hour walk from the cute coastal town of Stonehaven. The house is fully equipped, from a washing machine to a shed where you can store your bicycle. We were also very happy with the charging point for our electric car. We did all kinds of things in the area, such as a hike to a castle ruin on top of a mountain, a tour with a fishing boat along the coastline to spot dolphins, seals and parrot divers, a dqg in Aberdeen and fish & chips or an ice cream at Stonehaven beach. The family that manages the cottages was very helpful. We had a very pleasant stay, highly recommended!

What an amazing stay at Dalriada, Kelly and Bob could not have been more accommodating and the lodge was absolutely incredible. You would think driving up to the lodge that you were abroad. Every little detail has been thoroughly thought out and the lodges have been finished to the highest spec (even underfloor hearing in the bathroom!).
We stayed in Carlin and had the best view over Stonehaven and dunnottar castle, the weather was amazing the entire stay. 4x us adults and 2x dogs stayed and there was plenty of room and great to have separated bathrooms for each couple. The lodges are extremely dog friendly and there was some bowls and treats left for them on arrival :)
I would highly recommend dalriada to anyone looking for a luxury break to Stonehaven, they are only a few mins drive from the centre or about a 20min walk, there really is everything you would need in these lodges and would also highly recommend getting the breakfast packs as both were excellent!

Enjoyed a great week in these very well appointed 5 star lodges next to Stonehaven golf course. Kelly was very helpful and had sent in advance an excellent app with details about the lodges including location, access codes and even manuals for all the kitchen appliances. Each lodge has its own patio - most with views towards Stonehaven and is very cosy and comfortable inside. Highly recommended- I would definitely return.

Booked Dalriada Lodges because of the location and that they were dog friendly Kelly was excellent and gave us a link to their own Dalriada App which contained everything you need to know from the operation of the lodge facilities to where to eat and drink in the area and places to visit. The accommodation was luxurious and the lodge equipped to a very high standard. Nice touch on arrival was the doggie biscuits, a ball and a doggie poo bag I am sure buddy appreciated the nice touch although he kept letting the ball run down the hill towards reception. The patio and decking was much appreciated as we picked one of the hottest weekends of the year to book.
Lots of lovely places to eat in Stonehaven BUT parking anywhere was a nightmare.
All in all an excellent facility in an excellent location with friendly staff. Would definitely return
