Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stay in many hotels & B&Bs and it’s a pleasure to stay in such a nice place. My twin room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Michelle & David were perfect hosts and very knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfast was excellent and all the food was fresh.

Only stayed for one night, but would have loved to stay for longer. Warm, welcoming and informative hosts, the room was spacious with fantastic attention to detail. The ensuite was great, especially the shower! And a lovely location - our window looked onto lush green fields. Breakfast was also delicious with a great selection to choose from.

We've been there with other two friends a week ago. The place is wonderful, a farm with cows and other animals, but with spacious new rooms full of every comfort. Breakfast is probably the best we had in Scotland, homemade and well cooked. The owners are very nice and kind and if you are lucky you can see piglets or other farm animals in the nearby.

Just arrived home from our holiday in Scotland where we had a two night stay at Chapel of Barras Farm. This is a wonderful B & B set in peaceful surroundings, yet not too far from the main roads. The room we stayed in was very spacious with a really comfortable bed with lovely soft pillows. The en-suite facilities were exceptional and lovely homemade cake was left in the room each day. The breakfasts were delicious with a very wide selection of choices. Our hosts, Michelle and David were really friendly and welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will DEFINITELY stay again the next time we are holidaying in the area.

I stayed here for the weekend whilst attending a family wedding. Spotlessly clean, large comfortable room with a new large comfortable bed and pillows with fresh white cotton bedding, en suite bathroom (great water pressure in the shower), fluffy towels, heated towel rail, comfortable easy chairs, dressing/office table and stool, and walk in wardrobe. Delicious breakfast with options for all tastes: full Scottish or scrambled egg on toast, greek yoghurt with compotes, rhubarb, granola, cereals or a truly continental selection of meats and cheeses, and a large selection of fruits. Home made cookies, tea and coffee making facilities in the room with fresh milk in a mini thermos on request. Very warm and friendly welcome and helpfulness from Michelle and David, who even gave me a

Only stayed for one night but would have liked to stay longer. Michelle and David were so nice and were so helpful. They even did some laundry for us. Room was amazing, very clean, bed was a little hard but very good. Wifi wasn´t the best but not to bad. Breakfast was very tasty. So very quiet and peaceful. Would definetly stay again. Loved it.

We were warmly greeted and welcomed to this wonderful, modern, quiet farm B&B. We had a large, well-appointed room. The hosts were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. There was a wide range of breakfast options and every thing was well presented.

Very warm welcome from Michelle who, like husband, Dave, is friendly and efficient. Super-clean, good quality accommodation with comfortable beds and immaculately presented. Easy to reach from the coastal road with loads of secure parking. Idyllic setting, peaceful, almost therapeutic! Cooked breakfast was superb, plenty of it, plus many home-made treats including fabulous bread, granola, compote and Scotch pancakes.

The hands down best B and B I’ve stayed at in the UK. I am a restless sleeper but slept wonderfully every night spent here (3). Breakfast is fantastic and freshly cooked. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Will probably stay here again next time I’m in the area

This is the 2nd time we have stayed and loved our visit more this time. Recommend the location, accommodation and hosts highly. Very peaceful and relaxing. Great breakfast. Took my mum and daughter this time and they were also impressed. Plenty to do all within a short drive. Enjoyed watching the bats at dusk. Will definately revisit for a 3rd time.
