First class from start to finish, welcomed like old friends on arrival. Great location, not far from Stonehaven. Fantastic room with excellent shower and bathroom. Great views all around. Breakfast was amazing, all freshly cooked to order and Michelle made some wonderful pancakes. Not to be missed and next time we visit this beautiful part of the country we will definitely stay here again.

Best breakfast! All things made fresh and there was a huge choice between local specialities.
Good recommendations for dinner.
Nothing negative to say, we would come back immediately.
Very quiet location but close to stonehaven.

Charming hosts Dave and Michelle were wonderfully welcoming and helpful. Booked us into a great restaurant for dinner. Our room was delightful-clean, spacious, very tastefully decorated, and with a view over the farm.
Breakfast had many choices all delightfully cooked.
As you can see we couldn't have been happier with our stay at Chapel of Barras Farm Bed and Breakfast.

We have just spent 2 nights at this amazing B&B. this was our second visit so we knew how good it was going to be! Michelle and David could not be more welcoming, the room was spotlessly clean, the breakfast superb, so much choice! we cannot recommend this B&B highly enough and we will definitely be back for a third visit!

I stayed for one night. The room was very clean and comfortabe, the breakfast was excellent and the hosts were very welcoming. I would not hesitate to go back. The B & B is a working farm which makes the experience all the more interesting. The farm is off the main road but the hosts gave good directions.MM

Another great return visit to the farm. Had 3 nights this time and Michelle and David make you feel at home in their lovely B & B. We will return when possible and look forward to enjoying the lovely breakfast, the pancakes are so yummy.

Eigentlich bin ich mit Superlativen sehr vorsichtig. Und wir hatten auch andere wirklich sehr schöne und zu empfehlende Unterkünfte auf unsere Rundreise. Aber Chapel of Barras B&B ist uns nachhaltig in positiver Erinnerung.
Das B&B ist ca. 8 km vom Ort Stonehaven entfernt. Es ist aber ein Umweg, den nan in Kauf nehmen sollte.
Besonders gut gefallen haben uns:
- die sehr netten, freundlichen und offenen Gastgeber
- die schönen geräumigen Zimmer
- die super bequemen Betten
- das fantastische Frühstück
Vieles wird selbst hergestellt: Brot, Croissants, sogar auch der Bacon. Anderes wird sorgsam ausgewählt: prämierte Frühstückswürstchen vom Metzger. Das war wirklich alles ausgezeichnet.
Wir gaben uns sehr willkommen und sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir empfehlen dieses B&B wärmstens weiter.
Die Gastgeber haben uns zum Abendessen in den Crail Inn geschickt, diesem Rat sollten auch Sie folgen.

This has just got to be one of the top Farmhouse Bed and Breakfasts in the country. We stayed here while visiting family for 3 nights. Clean, very well appointed accommodation and a fantastic breakfast. There is a delicious buffet display, pancakes, croissants, various fruits, yogurts etc etc and that's before you start on the variety of cooked food. Lovely home baking in our room daily, shortbread, fruit cakes and lemon drizzle Yummy. Very near to Dunotter Castle which is a must see in the area. Michelle and David are great hosts and go the extra mile to make sure that their guests are comfortable.
