Where to start? Honestly a truly fabulous B&B! Everything you want and need; tucked away from the main road, on a working farm, wonderfully welcoming & engaging hosts (they couldn't do enough), a large bedroom with lots of wardrobe space, a large ensuite, comfy bed with a selection of pillows, fresh water in a glass bottle in the room, a mini flask of fresh milk for teas and coffees, a beautiful sleep, and a huge breakfast full of tasty food. I can't eat gluten and was provided with gluten free bread, AND sausages (a rarity in B&Bs) with my cooked breakfast. There were other gluten free treats offered too, but as I can't have sugar either - didn't have them They recommended a local pub for dinner that served wonderful fish and seafood dishes. It was a perfect place for me to

We had a wonderful stay at the Chapel of Barras Farm B&B close to Stonehaven (off the beaten track but well worth the ride a mile up the hill!) - we loved the peaceful surroundings as well as the beautiful rooms that had been newly built 12 years ago and are kept in meticulously clean state. We were very lucky Michelle and David had a vacant room and will definitely book well in advance next time to make sure we can stay there for some time. Our double room was very spacious and pleasantly furnished (lots of tiny personal touches!) and had a big, beautiful bathroom and a separate closet for suitcase, shoes, clothing etc. Coffee/tea making facilities were provided in the room, some toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, soap, cotton buds for a night) and a hairdryer - oh, and some

Booked to stay at Chapel of Barras Farm Bed and Breakfast as a base to visit a friend in Stonehaven, and to travel to Stirling and Falkirk. Picked up the car from the airport, put it in the postcode on the satnav and in next to no time I arrived and received a lovely welcome. The decor of the room was very much to my liking, as I also had to work. The room and ensuite were exceptionally clean. Breakfast was top class, and Michelle and Dave were wonderful hosts, such that the guests also echoed very nice pleasantries in the morning over breakfast. I will certainly stay here again.

Stonehaven is such a beautiful place to visit but…….the Chapel of Barras Farm B & B is the jewel in the crown! Dave and Michelle are the perfect hosts - they make you feel as though they’ve been friends for years, so charming and welcoming. They have an ideally located, gorgeous farmhouse with lovely rooms and the best breakfast. THE BEST BREAKFAST! Repeated for emphasis because Dave and Michelle really go beyond the norm when it comes to caring for their guests. An absolute must book B and B. 11/10 for quality and care.

Very friendly host couple. Best breakfast! All things made fresh and there was a huge choice between local specialities. Good recommendations for dinner. Nothing negative to say, we would come back immediately. Very quiet location but close to stonehaven. We loved the place, the food and the hosts!

The ideal B&B? Could well be. Furnished to a high standard, the accommodation was clean and well-maintained, and especially comfortable. Unfortunately, we could only stay for two nights, but that was long enough to appreciate all the effort that has gone into making this an excellent place to stay. The breakfasts are simply outstanding, and Michelle and David’s recommendations for evening meals are equally as good. We dined exceptionally well at the Creel Inn (Catterline) and the Quayside, Gourdon. Walks in and around the local area offer hours of relaxation with much more being available if you’re willing to drive a short distance. For example, the steep cliffs of Fowlsheugh (RSPB) are a few minutes away by car where, depending on the time of the year, you can see the

Practically perfect b&b. Hosts are incredibly welcoming, and have great knowledge of local area. The property is beautiful! Secluded but close to local amenities and attractions. Rooms were spacious and well put together - home made fudge was a treat!

This a working farm just a few miles off the main road. B&B guests stay in a separate, modern part of the farm house. The rooms are spacious, beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and just perfect. Add in Michelle as an extremely welcome host and what's not to love? And I've not even mentioned the most fantastic breakfast with fresh, home-made breads. We stayed here at the end of a North Coast 500 tour and it was actually one of our best stays of the whole trip.

I had a wonderful restful stay. Lovely big bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a delight - freshly made scotch pancakes every morning - just like my granny made. Michelle and David were great hosts. Looking forward to my next visit.
