This is a brilliant site for it's location, cleanliness and pitch sizes. Right opposite the sea front where dogs are permitted. The site remained spotlessly clean throughout our stay. Yes there is a swimming pool next door which has pool parties late on a Wednesday, but this is out of the site's control. I would say avoid the pitches near to the pool if possible as I noticed a couple of the buildings had security lights on all night and you can slightly hear the music they play throughout the day, but you don't get disturbed by it anywhere else on the site apart from the party night, but then it's only two hours and only runs during summer. The pitches are large and the wardens move to maintain a put h each time it's vacated, even brushing the gravel back onto the pitches from the service roads during the day. It's a 20 min walk to the train station for the short trip into Aberdeen for the day and about an hour and twenty into the Cairngorms. There's a great Fish festival in Johnstown not far away and the town of Stonehaven has lots of fantastic food places. Have to mention The Marine hotel and it's bar. They have their own brewery!

Nice tidy site but at £61 per night it's rather expensive compared to other sites with as good facilities Hard standing only so Awning was very difficult to put up on the hard stoney ground Also beware of the noise on a Wednesday night from 10/12pm as the adjacent outdoor swimming pool has a disco

Top notch CAMC site at one end of beautiful Stonehaven. It was main summer hols with plenty of families and children but we found it excellent and enjoyed watching and listening to children playing. Very large pretty level pitches, excellent facilities and extremely helpful staff. Fifty metres to a lovely clean beach and 20 mins walk along the shore to the ‘Old Town’ which is very very pretty with a working harbour. Something for everyone in Stonehaven which is clean and accessible. One we will return to.

Our host Muriel had the most positive attitude & described the local attractions, visits etc. The friendly welcome was a great addition to which is a lovely area. Pubs, coffee shops & restaurants all within walking distance. Site facilities are modern & spotless. Highly recommended.

Lovely big caravan park, spotless facilities and toilets great location to the beach and local amenities. Stonehaven is a beautiful village with loads to do and see. Only criticism I have is I dont think this site is ideal for tents. We were pitched right in the middle of huge caravans and practically on top of the kids play park! We felt very exposed and had no privacy, kids at the park from 7am was not great either. No electricity for campers so spent most of our 4 days with no charge in phones which is not what anyone wants in such a picturesque place... would be much better if there was an actual part of the site thats for all the tents together and maybe an outside pay as you go charging/ electrical system (similar to what gets used on building sites, themeparks etc to charge phones, batteries etc) would be good. Wouldn't return in a tent but would definitely return in a caravan or else where within stonehaven. Picture taken from the boardwalk. The bay at night is beautiful.

Very good campsite. Spotlessly clean toilets/shower facilities. Large pitches, flat and hardstanding with good space from neighbouring pitches. Great location, with beach, chip shop, ice cream shop and cafes nearby. I'd recommend not taking the pitches to the left as you enter, as the building there have huge bright floodlights on all night and a constant hum from air conditioning. Quiet site with no children running about. Dogs welcome and good area for walks.

We stayed here for 3 nights last weekend. Easy to reach on the M90/A90 and then you're literally a mile or so from the turn off before you reach the site. Its right next to the beach and it's a nice walk along board walk round to the harbour with metal sculptures all the way along to photograph(local answer to Banksy). You can also walk about 2 miles to reach Dunottar Castle which is a spectacular view. You're 10 minutes walk if that into town where there's a Co-op for essentials; takeaways (you must try deep fried Mars bar where it originated!) There's also lots of independent shops and places for coffee and snacks. You're less than half an hour drive into Aberdeen city. The site is exceptionally well looked after with the managers/wardens living on site. You can just about make out the sea from the caravan though not exactly sea view pitches (if that's a thing for you) however the prom is about 10 steps from the secure entrance barrier. Its worth nipping down to catch the sunrise! We received a lovely warm welcome and they work hard and are visible throughout the day. Nicely spaced level pitches. The open air pool and leisure centre is right next door with a good play park. Nothing for children on site meaning it's nice and quiet but that suits us and if its something you need, it's right next door so not really problem. Loved it so much, we cancelled another booking we had for this week to go back!

Stayed here for 5 nights and really enjoyed it. The site and facilities are kept in an immaculate condition with the Wardens continuing to enhance the site during their working day. Stayed here numerous times before and will be back. Only complaint would be the hot water for washing the dishes in our view is not hot enough and has been the same since the site opened.
