Detailed Reviews
The room was large and clean with an en-suite shower room, the bed was comfortable and the room had a sofa in the bay window with manual leg lifts. The breakfast was excellent with as much or as little as you wanted. In fact all the food in the hotel was excellent with many non-resident guests coming for lunch and dinner. The hotel has a free car park and is a short step away from the town centre and the beach.

We stayed at the Belvedere for just one night but it was a lovely little hotel, the rooms were excellent and very reasonably priced. The included breakfast in the morning was incredible, and the lady serving was so kind - she made sure that all of the different dietary requirements were catered for (regular breakfast, veggie and vegan), and was just so welcoming to us. We were also allowed to make use of the hotel car park for a few extra hours after we checked out whilst we visited some local sites. I’d definitely recommend it and visit again!
Whilst staying we also ate out at a very nearby Italian restaurant called Gino’s - the food was incredible. We would have had a few drinks at the Belvedere bar too but, as restrictions have only recently relaxed, it was very busy

Unlike some hotels in Stonehaven, The Belvedere has an all-day menu and doesn’t close its kitchen at 2.30pm!
Our party of four was warmly welcomed at 3.00 in the afternoon and presented with an extensive menu with reduced portions offered on a number of dishes.
The Cullen Skink soup, beer-battered haddock, curry of the day and sticky toffee pudding were all exceptional dishes.
The efficient and friendly service also went down well.
We will definitely return.

Stayed in this lovely hotel as we were attending a wedding locally. On arrival the staff were friendly and attentive, getting us booked in and keys to the room given. The room was lovely, spacious with en-suite. We had a fantastic meal in the bar in the evening which was well priced and perfectly cooked. Breakfast was included in the price which was a full Scottish. Definitely would stay here again if I have occasion to over night inn Stonehaven. Thankyou Belvedere.

We had a disappointing stay unfortunately. The room wasn’t particularly clean, the bathroom door didn’t close properly and the hotel was generally tired-looking and breakfast was sub-standard. Wouldn’t recommend. Weren’t even asked if we’d enjoyed our stay when we left which was a first!

Stayed here for 2 nights was strange at first as there was no check in desk but finally managed to find 1 member of staff and check in was done through the bar area. The
room was lovely and clean and bath towels were luxurious. Shower was a bit of a squeeze if your above average build(male) but plenty of power
Michael and his wife are excellent hosts as are Adam the chef and the bar staff nothing is a problem to them and they are so accomadating. They have a lovely large beer garden with the option to dine there and the food is superb.Bar prices are also very good. Parking can be an issue with maybe space for 6-8 cars but people park here when they come to dine so could be tricky as the main street is double yellow with a few places available. All in alla great stay and would recommend it

We stayed 2 nights at the beginning of our tour on Scotland, the room was comfortable for 4 people, albeit with a bathroom with a tiny sink. The owners friendly and helpful, breakfast ordered and prepared on the spot. Comfortable accommodation within walking distance of the village centre, restaurants and dunnottar castle

While on holiday we met up with friends for a meal with friends, and enjoyed a delicious meal at the Belvedere. The food was delicious, and I would highly recommend the Seabass,it was really tasty. My husband had his favourite Steak and ale pie, which he said was really tasty. The service was really good. Can't fault it ,in fact it was so good we went back a second time!

We only had one night to stay while passing through on our way from Inverness to St Andrews. We had a long drive day and were tired and hungry! After a prompt, easy checkin we made reservations at the restaurant. I ordered the special at the time, a chicken and wild mushroom pie that was TO DIE FOR! My husband and son ended up eating part of mine because of my rave review, they thought it was great as well. We hung out in the bar area and played cards and had dessert after dinner, sticky toffee pudding.. also delicious. Highly recommend this little gem to any who stop in the area!
