First and last time at the Ship :( Very expensive "pub food" I had the monkfish & lentil dhal.... But I was very disappointed when it came to the table... Very small peice of fish, 3battered prawns.... £19! No member of staff had checked how our mains were.... But we were all very disappointed. Apple crumble was a bowl of watery apples... The waitor agreed it wasn't good after seeing I wasn't eating it, again very expensive at £6.95, he took off the bill.... This place is definatly ripping visitors off, I expect for the price of the food it would be something amazing.... Far better places to go in Stonehaven!

We had the sharing seafood platter, it was so good. Seemed like it would never end...prawns, crayfish, hot and cold smoked salmon, crab cakes and mackerel mousse, along with crusty bread. Plenty for two!

I wish I could also review this hotel on booking.com as our experience was so good here. We arrived early and were welcomed to check in. The owner (I’m presuming) was so lovely. All distancing in place and safety measures were adhered to. I think we had one of the best views in Scotland on our stay! Definitely book the deluxe room if you can. The room and facilities are more than worth it for the money. Staff were extremely friendly. We also booked dinner here and what a meal - I definitely recommend the Cullen skink soup! Please don’t hesitate to book here. We will certainly be back.

Lovely bar in a great location on the harbour in Stonehaven. We visited in October and although cold outside the area was very busy. Social distancing was handled very well in the bar. Good menu with a reasonable variety and not expensive. Food was really good and the service was excellent. Will definitely visit the Ship Inn again.

The hotel is in the perfect location for exploring Stonehaven. It is within walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants. The room we had looked out over the harbour and we were able to enjoy the beautiful sunrise and do a bit of people watching! The room was clean and well equipped. The breakfast was very tasty and there was adequate choice of food. The evening meal we had in the bar was very good too. The staff were all very friendly and the service was excellent. The hotel has a great atmosphere. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
