We went here to have lunch as wanted somewhere beside the water at Stonehaven. The ship inn is in a perfect location and was very busy so we were lucky to get a table as we had not booked. The food was very good and we did not have to wait too long before we were served.

I quite enjoyed my stay at the Ship Inn. The staff were very helpful even though they were busy running the pub/restaurant. The food was very good downstairs (still dreaming about the raspberry cheesecake). The room had an excellent view of the harbor and all the amenities you'd typically expect: wifi, tv, hot shower, tea/coffee. Stonehaven is a cute little...

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The meals were excellent at all times over the 3 days - the special meal on Hogmanay (whilst expensive) was of superior quality. The rooms were exceptionally well set up and very comfortable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment to anybody I know is looking for accommodation in the area.

Charged £3 for a CUP of coffee, enough said. No welcome or interaction apart from the nice cleaners. Not overly busy on a Thursday morning so no excuses. Dog friendly but the dog treat bowl was for decor I assume

So - £3 for a CUP of coffee (Why the capitals? What do you expect coffee to be served in?) It was actually a cappuccino made with freshly ground beans and fresh milk - not instant with powdered milk as served in many other places. I reckon our prices are about average or below for the standard of product, service,...

We didn't expect a welcome, a simple greeting would have done! This was by far the unfriedliest place of the 8 places we stayed at during our vacation in Scotland. We were taken to our very small room without a friendly word. There I didn't like the "don't" signs either. We decided to have dinner and drinks at the pub...

When I booked The Ship Inn, I naively thought I would be staying at an 18th Century Inn with lots of character. How wrong could I be ??? The room we were allocated was in the new extension of 5 rooms and these were tiny boxes constructed of little more than 2 sheets of thick cardboard. The rooms are so...

We just spent two nights there and were very dissapointed. It was supposed to be a charming historical building and the reality is far from it!! We paid over 100 pounds per night for a room which was so tiny that we had to squeeze in between luggage and the bed. The bed is right next to the radiator which...

Just driving home and stopped at the beautiful seaside town of Stonehaven, the ship in serves great food, we only had the Cullen skink, sandwich and chips, it was very nice plus I could see what the other customers were having and I'll be back soon, plus the service was excellent ☺

I think Stonehaven and the old harbour is a fascinating place. A full moon and a gale added to the atmosphere during dinner at our window table. A warm welcome, a warm pub & restaurant, nice room with a modern en suite bathroom. Full breakfast and then a taxi to the train station for a direct service to Dyce. A...

My husband and I stayed at the Ships Inn for one night. The accommodations were simple but clean. People were pleasant and the town is darling. We had a harbor view room with a large bed and adequate bathroom. The room had a television and internet is free. The Inn is part of a pub/restaurant which was fun and the...
