Called in for dinner on way through from Skye to Fort William. Gods service and cosy atmosphere. Really enjoyed our meal of vegetarian haggis, neeps and tatties. Apparently if you go at the right time they have deer out the back.

On our way back from Dornie and this was a welcome break - Food on offer was good and reasonably priced, tasty and just what we needed after several hours driving. Place appeared clean and staff were very pleasant it's a good stop off point on your way to Inverness or Isle of Skye

I've stayed at the hotel twice. The first time was 6 months ago and it was only for one night. I arrived at 10pm after a long drive from Inverness to an unwelcome reception. I was told that I was lucky as they were about to lock up. I asked if they were still serving food and got an abrupt... More

We stayed here for a long weekend in November, intent on bagging some of the local Corbetts. The hotel was quiet (unsurprisingly) and we were made very welcome. We were in room 1, with a four-poster bed and its own private sauna (yes!). The latter was a boon, for we retuned to the hotel on one afternoon chilled and very... More

Driving from Loch Ness to the Isle of Skye through Glenmoriston I discovered this wonderful Inn/hotel where the open fire was not the only "warm welcome". Staff were friendly and helpful and despite the snow-covered hills it presented a cosy environment with an extensive menu - although on this occasion I only required "brunch". Cluanie Inn has extensive car parking... More

We stopped off for food on our way home to Skye. It isn't cheap, but it's well cooked and delicious. To the point where this lunch filled us all for the rest of the day! Absolutely fantastic and we will return

We stopped off here as we have done for the last two years to have breakfast ahead of a long 9 hour journey home. Alas we were almost shoved out the door being told "the licensing laws have been changed, & we don't serve food until 10am",... despite there being a sign outside which says 'Open All Day'. The usual... More

Ok so went to the cluaine Inn bought a pint and was going to stay a while and empty my wallet more. Asked for a WiFi code as is pretty standard in most places now. Oh no not staying in the hotel so refused the 20th century basic service. So I left on search of a scrappy mobile reception. There... More

I stayed here with a couple of biker mates for two nights during a tour of the Scottish Highlands. We had room 16 (downstairs in the outhouse). I can understand why other reviewers may complain about this room, afterall, the bathroom could be improved and the ceiling could be patched up a bit. But, the positives of this place by... More
