We visited the Ranch in mid October and every expectation was met if not exceeded. Started well in the Kaslo Hotel ( stunning views) and then a lovely 4x4 drive to the Ranch. We saw Grizzlies on walks, drives and rafting trips during our stay - all led by our expert guides. We really saw the bears in their natural... More

We had the great pleasure of staying at the Grizzly Bear Ranch in October and nearly had to be dragged away. Julius and Kristin’s hospitality was incredible and we felt like one big family by the end of our stay. We cannot thank whole the team enough for their wealth of knowledge, experience and great humour. We couldn’t have asked... More

We spent a brilliant time with Kristin & Julius at Grizzly Bear Ranch at the end of September 2015. The cabin was first class, very clean, good amenities and being at the end of the ranch furthest away from the main house we felt very much 'on our own' which was lovely. The night before was spent in Kaslo (part... More

Having seen the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, we planned to come here but were advised not to by our travel agent. Fortunately, we ignored that advice, sacked the travel agent and came anyway, based on the previous reports. Julius and Kristin are excellent hosts, providing a holiday that is packed with activity from start to finish. The days are filled... More

We had an exceptional few days at the Grizzly Bear Ranch which more than lived up to what we had read in previous reviews. Our aim was to see grizzlies in the wild and we certainly did - sometimes at very close quarters but all managed very professionally and safely by the excellent team of wildlife guides. Julius, Paul, Alex,... More

It is hard to find words to describe the amazing time my husband and I had at The Grizzly Bear Ranch. Julius and Kristin are amazing hosts who make their guests feel so welcome during their stay. The guides were exceptional!!! (We found Ollie kept us entertained with his great sense of humor!!!) We visited in mid-October 2015 and felt... More

Being able to see magnificent Grizzly Bears in their natural habitat was incredible! While there, we saw eight bears--our favorites were a mother bear teaching her yearling cubs how to fish. Kristen and Jullius were warm and welcoming. Other guides, especially Paul, were tremendously informatiave. Meals, served family style, were well prepared and enjoyed by a diverse mixture of Americans,... More

Being budget conscious travellers, we decided to make this a once in a lifetime travel experience and what an inspiring experience it turned out to be! We stayed in the Logjam cabin during September, with a fireplace and uninterrupted views of the Lardeau River flowing past our large cabin window. After adventurous days full of hiking, rafting, and of course bear... More

We arrived with high expectations which were well exceeded on all fronts. Kristin and Julius have created a 'little slice of heaven' in a truly spectacular part of the world. Their attention to detail and professionalism on all fronts is second to none. This combined with fabulous guides with wonderful sense of humours to equal their knowledge is a recipe... More
