This was something my wife Camilla had wanted to do for some years after reading an article and I'm glad she spotted it!. We had 4 amazing days with Julius Kristin and their team, rafting, bushwacking and walking in the high alpine. There was a magical hour watching 3 grizzlies hoovering down huckleberries in preparation for winter in the high...

From the offset of meeting Kristin at Castlegar airport, our whole experience of Grizzly Bear Ranch was absolutely fantastic! What Kristin and Julius offer is exceptional on every level - from the top notch daily breakfast, lunch & dinner (not forgetting the delivery of tea & coffee on our doorstep every morning!); our rafting and hiking trips with our wonderful...

What a fun and enjoyable adventure in the British Columbia wilderness. It was such a lovely time from beginning to end. Could not have asked for a better Host and Hostess. From their talent to preparing amazing meals to educating us with knowledge of the incredible grizzly bears. The cabins were so clean and cozy too. Highly recommended!

I have to give my husband credit for this part of our holiday - he found it while internet searching for grizzly bears. It was exactly what we were looking for and the Trip Advisor reviews were the best we'd ever seen anywhere. Kristin and Julius took a punt accepting our children as they were slightly younger than the advertised...

My two children and I had a fabulous and unforgettable holiday and experience at The Grizzly Bear Ranch. It was totally engaging as well as extremely relaxing. I cannot pinpoint a high light because all our adventures there were equally as awesome. We loved the lake cruise on the zodiac boat, as well as the hike the next day and...

I cannot fault this holiday experience. From the moment we arrived until our final sad farewell we were treated with amazing hospitality, incredible experienced guides, wonderful home cooked meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner and extremely comfortable cabins. There was nothing that we needed that was not provided. The hot water for tea or coffee left on our door step...

We stayed at the Ranch in early July so were aware that the chances of bears was slim but we were lucky enough to see one just amble through the grounds waddling past our cabin. Was the cream to an otherwise fabulous experience. The ranch is just so peaceful with a wonderful river running through. I don't have enough superlatives...

Three great nights in the middle of a family trip to Canada (with two teenage boys) and this was the clear highlight. Whether it is being the only people rafting on a lovely river, stood amongst alpine plants at the top of a mountain range or even just sat on the deck of the cabin in the early morning with...

We planned a trip to Vancouver and hoped to include Vancouver Island to see wildlife. As we only had 10 days in Canada I quickly realised the logistics of getting over to see the Island may be to full on and quite a drain on time and energy. Someone was smiling on me the night I found Grizzly Bear Ranch,...

Thanks for the great review guys! Much appreciated. You're right - autumn is our real grizzly season. Summer is more about rafting the river and hiking up in the high country. We do occasionally see bears in the summer but it's a bit hit and miss. We would love to have you come back in the autumn to see the...

We spent three nights at the Grizzly Bear Ranch. The directions were spot on. When we arrived, we went to our cabin with an amazing view of the river from the front porch. Julius and Kristin welcomed us with a wonderful dinner, that we shared with two other guests from England. We also met our wonderful guide Corinna. All three...
