Great hotel, very friendly staff, good food, great snorkeling, two pools, spa and 4 restaurants. Plenty of activities for adult couples and families. Warwick club every afternoon, good variety of drinks, food and Paul the barman does an amazing job. Overall very impressed with the way this hotel operates, friendly flexible and guest focussed.

Oh dear lord do I have a review for you... What a dreadful experience, so dreadful that it's almost comical, apart from the fact it was happening to me. It all began when we arrived at 7am from a red-eye flight. We asked for an early check-in, but due to us booking one of their better suites, we wouldn't be allowed to check-in until the normal time, 2pm. That's no biggie, and totally understandable. So, as anyone would, we paid for their top-end Suite on our credit-card and enjoyed the hotel grounds until 2pm. We then returned to the reception desk to get the keys. It was only then, after already paying for the room, that they told us the Suite was no longer available and that we'd need to be downgraded. In other words, they made us pay for a more expensive room, one they knew they didn't have, and then they told us they didn't have it, and we'd need to be in one of their normal rooms. The difference in rates between these rooms was over $1000 dollars for the 3 night stay. They didn't offer any compensation for this up-front. We also paid for the all-inclusive package. Who doesn't like enjoying a cocktail on vacation? They also have 5 restaurants within the hotel. Lots to choose from. WAIT!!! They totally forgot to tell us, and you, that only one of those restaurants is available on the "All-inclusive". It's easy to tell which one, just look for the crappy one. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Not a single cocktail is available on the all-inclusive. Surprise! After multiple meetings with their Hotel Manager, Savaira Molaucake, they begrudgingly decided to offer us two 30 minute back-massages (which we didn't use - the Spas are currently broken, hip-hip-horay!). They also comped a meal at one of their less crappy restaurants. Finally, they agreed to pay us $200 USD refund, less than half of the value they owed us, but hey, it's something. Well... it would be if they actually paid it. They said it would take 30 days. It's already over that timeframe and considering the general service from start to finish, I'm not holding my breath. Do yourself a favour, pick somewhere else. Anywhere else. Heck, stay home. You'll be better off for it. Most importantly, you won't be supporting a hotel that has a habit of doing the wrong thing, over and over, without a care in the world. I'm just one customer. Who knows how many others are out there…

We have noted your concerns and have addressed this with the relevant department, we apologies for not meeting your expectations after 4yrs of your return to Warwick Fiji. In related to the rooms this has been address to our Housekeeping Manager for our review. We appreciate your concerned about the Lovo food as this is one of the most attractive Fijian foods where most of us love this food, however this has also been addressed to our Executive chef for review. We hope that we may again have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and improve on our services, leaving you with memories far more befitting our resort. Overall: - So very disappointed, but trying to be but positive about some of it so trying to provide an objective review. - After the plane was delayed, traffic was bad so trip to Warwick took 2 hours, full on rain and then we were greeted with a huge, very slow queue to check in. We were hopeful about the next day weather wise but alas it wasn’t to be. And for 3 days we kept saying we are glass half full people but unfortunately by day 4 we just wanted to go home. - We only had 2 half days of sunshine. It rained the rest of the time and for 2 days it was a write off with the cyclone causing beach and pool closures. And of course couldn’t do a boat trip to the islands or anything like that. Nothing we can do about the weather of course, just wouldn’t go in November in future. - Not a resort for teenagers or adults in our opinion. And especially teenagers with anxiety and sensory issues. Best suited to families with young kids. - Weather affected us massively unfortunately but also lots of frustrations with the resort, especially for the mammoth price of $11k for a family of 4 with 2 teenagers for 1 week. - Ultimately The Warwick is definitely not a 5 star resort, and more suited to families with young kids in our opinion. Read on for specifics. Positives: - Had a nice massage from a lovely lady called Losalini. - Some of the staff are warm and friendly. - The reception and upstairs bar area looks lovely. - Our room was well positioned. Ocean view and ground floor so could walk straight out, if only the weather had been good. - Best dinner was Italian with great service, and the pizzas, lasagne and risotto were very yum. - Japanese was also nice, we liked the gourmet sushi rolls and fresh tuna sashimi the best. - Teenagers liked the buffet breakfast. - Late checkout was granted for an extra $100 which was good as the only full day of sun was the day we were leaving. Negatives: - Shabby/old. A lot of it needs replastering and repainting and sticky doors fixed. Outdoor chair broken. Mouldy shower. Some rooms upgraded (our teenagers bathroom had been revamped) but ours wasn’t and needs it. Mould all around the shower heads and tiles. - Whilst some staff were lovely, others were very grumpy and it felt like there were a huge amount of rules. Felt like we were being told off all the time. For sitting in the wrong place etc. Especially with an incoming storm. Couldn’t walk on the beach 12 hours before it was due to arrive, even tho it was calm, couldn’t lie on the beach 12 hours after the storm had passed, pools closed. Took 2 full days out of our 7 day holiday and the rest was raining anyway. - Impossible to get snorkel gear. Was told it was because people were hoarding it in their rooms and not returning it each day, so no snorkelling for us on the two half days we had of sunshine! - So frustrating to find somewhere to eat. No info in rooms, everyone kept telling me to go somewhere else to look for the info. Ended up with room service first 2 nights which was average both times. Eventually figured out had to go to every restaurant to see menus. And most times we tried to get in the restaurants were already booked. Compendium needed in rooms with restaurant times, menus etc. - Frustrating pool situation. Kids pool is huge with spas and swim up bar, way too noisy and dirty. Had to use smaller adults pool on the days it was open. - No pool open at night! Both pools close at 6pm. Disappointing as we would have loved to swim in the big pool with bar and spa when the smaller kids were in bed. - Wifi is very hit and miss, and no decent tv, which was frustrating as we were stuck in our room for a good deal of our holiday. Even if we tried to watch tv, remote didn’t work. Phone was broken and didn’t work for days. Tips: - Watch the weather and prob don’t go in November. Made our trip miserable. - As soon as you arrive go and take photos of all restaurants and bars for opening times and menus. Then book early! You can rarely book dinner the same day so will end up with room service which doesn’t travel well to the rooms. - Only 1.5L of water per day per room. Not enough for 2 people. Have to be proactive and ask the cleaning ladies in the hallways for more! - No bath mats, no hand towels, often waiting all day for fresh towels. So again be proactive and ask the cleaning ladies in the hall for both new towels and glasses etc. Literally feel like you’re scrounging for basic supplies like toilet paper, water, glasses and towels all the time. - Bring your own reef shoes and snorkel gear. We tried to get it even in the rain but impossible. - Wifi is very on and off and frustrating. Download things in case of cyclones! - Over priced, can only buy cans for $8- $10 a pop from the bar to go with any duty free. All drinks including extra water has to be bought from the bar. Buy more supplies on way here or do a shopping trip to get water, mixers, snacks, lollies etc. - Insect repellent and bug spray needed! The Reniu lemongrass insect repellent bought from the resort shop is nice and neutral. - Take your buffet breakfast next door to the Pappagello restaurant to eat. Quieter and calmer. It’s very loud and manic in the buffet, especially for a teenager with sensory issues, so I would choose a quieter resort in future for our fam. - Don’t order the corn chips and guacamole as a snack from the bar. See attached pic. $13!

The Warwick. Where can I start? Will it be the inability to use the pool, the plainclothes staff, the long wait times at lunch, the expense of food and drink or the lacklustre staff support? Full disclosure: this trip was started at the tail end of a cyclone, so some caveats need to be made. For the first three days of our trip we were able to use the pools, even during the heavy rain. On the fourth they were closed in the morning due to cleaning and pH balance, totally reasonable. By lunchtime the pools had not been reopened, pending approval from management. At 1200 we were informed that the pool was open, fantastic! Within 15 minutes staff were yelling at us to get out because the pool was closed. 15 minutes later, informed that pool was open again. 5 minutes later closed again to ending a plumber. Almost two hours passed while we waited for the plumber to arrive. Pool miraculously reopened despite no staff attending the plumbing issue. Front desk states “miscommunication”. The following day, early morning swim before breakfast. Informed by a (tall, rude) person in plain clothes that we need to leave the pool because he is the general manager. Pool is closed again, reasons unknown and not available to us. Snorkelling at the beach. The Warwick has a private beach that is quite well manicured and is reasonable snorkelling for young and old alike. That said, snorkelling gear is limited and after not available so bring your own. Snorkelling was unavailable during the wind/rain event during the first 2 days for good reason. Post cyclone, cleanup was attended to reasonably quickly but we were informed it was too dangerous to enter the water by the activities manager. Warning heeded and we pursued alternative pastimes for the day. Following day we were informed of the same, despite clear water and rain-free but cloudy skies. Annoyed but not the end of the world. Following day was a perfect tropical island day, not a cloud in the sky, beautiful water, not a breath of wind. Unable to snorkel even with our own gear according to the activities manager, risk assessment needed to be made. Equipment for water sports was rolled out over the next few hours pending this approval. We consulted the front desk manager about this and she informed us that the risk assessment had been conducted yesterday and had been approved, she was not sure why the activities manager would deny entry to the beach. States “miscommunication” again. Fortunately the wait times for food are extremely long and actually extend through the wait times for pools/activities/anything to be open again. Lunch is an activity not to be undertaken lightly. We were a group of seven people and we never failed to spend less than 2 hours, and in two days, 3 hours at lunch waiting for our food to arrive. This was compounded by the inability of staff to produce the correct number of meals for the group literally every day. On the plus side, the meals are quite large when they do eventually come out so sharing is certainly an option. Don’t expect the meals to come out in the correct order either, entrees/starters consistently came out at the same time, or even 30 minutes after, our mains. We would suggest that you do not plan any time-critical activities after lunchtime unless you have evening plans, the timing is too unreliable. This contrasts the opposing restaurants off-site that produced high quality food in a fraction of the time as the Warwick could. If you are coming without an all-inclusive package be aware that the buffet is $85FJD per person, is not particularly exciting and quite busy. The one time we organised a trip through the Warwick’s front desk, we were lucky enough to get their shuttle out to our destination almost immediately. Upon arrival we were informed by the driver that the venue had no power and that obviously nothing we could do. Returns to the Warwick and were told that we still needed to pay for the shuttle, despite the Warwick staff knowing we could not have done anything out there and wasting our time. Slightly infuriating. Would I recommend the Warwick? Sure, if you like a slightly dilapidated gilded cage with crappy service, food and facilities. The staff are actually quite nice and the bellhops were legitimately awesome and helpful. Unfortunately that’s where it ended, there just isn’t a reason I can see that would persuade me to stay there ever again, especially given that there’s more than one other resort in the area. I give this place 1/5 stars, simply because I can not give it less. Having a quick gander at booking.com seems to reflect a similar disposition to ours but I’m unable to write a review there due to booking through the Warwick directly. If you’ve managed to read this far, thanks and hope it gives you a slight heads up. We can recommend some of the local activities that can be organised at either end of the Warwick’s beaches. The Blue Shack and Margie’s both provide excellent service for tours and flexibility if you have a group of our size (7). They catered for couples as well and had the ability to organise tours (thoroughly enjoyed the local waterfall), snorkelling and diving trips to the marine reserve, fishing charters, massages and beverages, all at prices significantly lower than that provided by the Warwick front desk.

Bula Vinaka & Tropical greetings from Warwick Fiji! Dear davee6488, Thank you for your most honest feedback following your stay with us at Warwick Fiji. We are, as a team, taking steps to ensure that we improve our services in many key areas, just as you have listed on your review. We are disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your holiday with us. We concede that we do have a number of areas which require our urgent attention including communication, service delivery. This is a tropical disaster which is beyond our control, however we had to follow our protocol to secure the place and the safety of the guest. In regard to the swimming pool as you have mentioned on the review, we had to close the pool due to the Tropical cyclone that was approaching Fiji for the safety of our guest. On the next day we had to open the pool again after the pool was cleaned by our Team. Snorkeling on the beach was open on next day after everything was cleaned from the beach, we do have our snorkeling gear available at the Beach Office. I have also personally addressed the issue of miscommunication, room issues & slow service with our respective teams thus we will continuously work to keep improving our service delivery at all levels. When you next plan your holiday we hope that you may again, choose the beautiful islands of Fiji and are confident that if we again have the pleasure of your company, here at the Warwick Fiji, you will leave us with memories far more befitting of both our beautiful resort and its people. Vinaka Vakalevu & Best Regards, Warwick Family.

WARWICK RESORT FIJI RUN, RUN, RUN away from this resort. This is NOT a 5 star luxury resort. Rooms have not been renovated as described on line. It’s a 2 star at very best. We have stayed in many resorts around the world and I can assure you this one is the worst. This is a motel 6 by our standards. The only people we spoke to that seemed to like it here were mostly first time vacationers, having been nowhere yet to compare this resort to, or families because the staff was excellent with their children. We booked back in February 2023…for October 27, 2023…2 queen beds, sea view room. Beautiful (very deceiving) photo on line. “Reservation guaranteed by credit card” on THEIR form. Received a final confirmation of our reservation 4 days before our arrival…”Looking forward to your arrival…bla bla…” No mention of pre payment here or ever…except “if you cancel within 14 days, you will be charged the full amount to your credit card”. Our travel Agent received another confirmation again on Oct 27 in the afternoon and then…suddenly, 2 hours later, received a notification that Warwick “cancelled” our reservation without any explanation. This was completely unknown to us as we were in transit by cab (2 hours) from Nadi. Our agent contacted Warwick to find out why and was disconnected 6 times during conversations. WE arrived, at 11:30 a.m. after our very long drive. We were pleased because the entrance grounds appeared attractive and so was the lobby. (It went far downhill from first impressions) Then they told us we were cancelled. We were shocked. They said because “Your card was declined”. A lie. We’ve had this card 35 years without issues. We immediately used the card successfully to prove them wrong…and why would they even try using our card, especially just hours before our arrival??? What if we wanted to use a different card or pay cash.🤷‍♀️😡. I had every document, photo and correspondence to prove our position. They asked us to wait while they sorted out this debacle. We sat in the lobby with our luggage for 2 hours. At 2:00 they final told us they were fully booked until tomorrow and would be sending us by taxi, at OUR expense😡to their sister resort the “Tambua Sands” a half hour back the way we came. I asked if this was a 5 star. Their response was “it was a lesser class hotel” but “we will have a nice room for you tomorrow” No compensation in price as we found out the next day when we paid the Tambua Sands… a nice resort but very simple and it appeared nearly empty. There were very few couples there. Maybe 3 couples🤷‍♀️. Day 1 pretty much done as it was now late afternoon. Next morning 8:00 am, without notice, Warwick sent a taxi to pick us up to return to Warwick hotel. No time to enjoy any facilities at Tambua sands, so we “assumed” they were ready to check us in. Luckily we had just finished breakfast and our luggage was repacked and ready to go. They did say the day before, THEY would pay for the return cab. When we arrived, they said WE had to pay taxi. Another $40.00 Fiji. We sat in lobby with luggage from 9:00-2:00 pm again. (Why did they collect us so early from Tambua🤷‍♀️). At 1:30 they offered a room, 2nd floor right over the kids pool. 1 double and 1 twin. I refused…the noise level was over the top. If you do NOT have children and get rooms by the children’s pool, you will regret it. So many kids it looked like a public swim day for schools, with the same noise level. Most were preschoolers so I can only imagine what it would be like to swim in this pool🤢 1/2 later, we finally received a room (286) on Suva adult pool side. The long hallway leading to our room, was worn and very tired looking. Our room was in dire straights of repair, paint and mould removal. Our hand held shower head broken and lying on floor, taps that dripped constantly unless tighten with a vice grip. Flooring and furniture that looked like they had not be replaced since the 80’s. Our only chair in room was so dirty, we would not sit on it. Yet again 1 double and 1 twin. We did have an ocean view IF we walked out onto our deck and looked to our right. Certainly not the ocean view room we had expected when we originally booked. Day 2 pretty much done with very few daylight hours left to enjoy. No pricing compensation of any kind. Other guests told us that up to the day we had arrived, they were very overbooked, running out of cutlery and dishes, even food in some choices, so we suspect our reservation was cancelled to appease someone else, like a family of four, since we did reserve two queens. Food was way overpriced and sub par. Water added to ketchup, and they visibly hand washed cups and glasses as needed. Eating off the resort was not an option as our cab driver told us NEVER to eat off the resorts on the coral coast. He went into detail but I will leave that to your imagination. Coral coast offers no shopping nearby. Next day we received a letter of apology with a plate of fruit. No monetary compensation for the difference in rooms of any kind. Over the next 3 days, we noticed a number of fruit plates with letters being delivered. We paid our charges daily, as other guests had warned there were many errors. Our bill was always correct. Conclusion…Warwick resorts owns three of the 4 resorts on the coral coast so you are pretty much at their mercy if things go wrong. We left for Denarau after our stay here. It was the difference between night and day. Beautiful resorts. Great food..(still overpriced) Nice shopping facilities. I would go to Denarau in a heart beat. Took me 2 days to stop coughing from the mould at the Warwick.

The Warwick resort was fantastic with great restaurants and pools. The seafood platter at Wicked Walu restaurant was probably the best I have had anywhere in the world. The rooms are great including the bathroom but the aircon is noisy and makes it hard to sleep as there is no way it can be turned off because of the constant humidity. The staff are happy, friendly and very welcoming. I will definitely be going back. If you are going to Fiji for fishing, the Warwick is not the resort to go to. To get onto the Charters it is a long and expensive drive. So I spoke to some of the staff and they organized for me to go on a local charter with someone from the village nearby (Yasawa Fishing Adventures). This was a disaster. The boat was the size a little bigger than a bathtub, we spent 4 hours to catch zero fish and the Captain Simon could hardly speak English. He was hopeless and didn't have any rods, just handlines. Total fishing time was about 2 hours. It was very disappointing considering we paid Fjd400 for 2 of us. Won't ever get caught like this again.

Bula Vinaka & Sunny greetings from Warwick Fiji! Dear alanfarrugia, Thank you for your kind review following your recent holiday with us. Fantastic to hear that you had a wonderful time at Warwick Fiji, restoring your faith in holidaying on our beautiful shores here in Fiji. I will personally convey your acknowledgement & compliments to our staff, for their service in ensuring that you get the best holiday experience. It is sad to hear that your fishing trip was unsuccessful during your stay with us. We do have our Tour desk at the resort where we recommend our guest to booked or to charter a Fishing Trip. We do not recommend a local fishing charter in a nearby village due to the safety of our guest is paramount. We hope that you will one day return to our shores here at Warwick Fiji, for a much better experience with great memories to cherish. Vinaka & Island Regards, Warwick Fiji

The facilities are tired, the food is hugely overpriced and often inedible, & there it little to do when you get there. The snorkelling is average at best! The room I had was old, the sheets are synthetic which are horrible on a hot night, the towels are thin and mould grew in the cracked shower tiles. The water was only hot if other people weren't using their showers at the same time. There are no insect screens on the rooms so mosquitos kept me awake at night. The air conditioning was so loud as it cranked out mouldy air, I had to balance the risk of catching Dengue with the risk of Legionnaires Disease. The staff are average with 'Bula's' being automatic rather than friendly, except for the woman at the adult's pool. I left early and forfeited the nights I had paid for rather than stay. I needed a holiday and the Warwick was not it. The hotel I went to truly was five star, with excellent facilities, pleasant professional staff and great food which was so much cheaper. I don't understand how the Warwick can continue to get bad revues and stay in business. The hotel manager/owner usually apologises when he sees a bad review. The time he spends pasting his cut and paste review would be better spent managing his hotel.

Bula Vinaka & Tropical Greetings from Warwick Fiji, Dear rosyf623, Thank you for taking your time to share your review and it is sad to know that you did not experience your holiday with us. It would be best to discussed your issues whilst you were here at the resorts. In regards to your comments relating to our rooms, we just recently renovated some of our rooms and the plan is to continue on the soft upgrades. On the same note, it is disappointing to hear that you were disturbed by mosquitoes that kept you awake at night, please let me assured you that all our rooms have screen door balcony unless you keep the door open at night. We are, as a team, taking steps to ensure that we improve our services in many key areas, just as you have listed on your review. On another note, your comments against The hotel manager/owner usually apologizes when he sees a bad review. The time he spends pasting his cut and paste review would be better spent managing his hotel, this is totally biased and uncalled for. We are working hard, within our limits, to maintain the grandeur of Warwick Fiji and we are totally committed in our common goal, that is, the general touch-up/soft upgrades of our beautiful Resort. Rosyf623, we hope that we may again have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future with much improved services & amenities, leaving you with more memories, here with us on the beautiful Coral Coast of Fiji. Vinaka & Island Regards, Warwick Family
