This hotel has changed three times its name from Protea to Orion to just Piggs Peak Hotel. It is still great, professional staff very clean rooms excellent gym room, sauna. However it needs a magic touch especially on the furniture in the rooms. Breakfast is superb Wifi is free and reasonably fast!!!! just get a coupon at reception upon check... More

Faded glory seems to be a good summary of this hotel which I am sure was a hit in its day but has sadly slipped backwards. Lack of adequate upgrades means the rooms are very dated, not well-maintained, and quite inadequate. The surroundings are stunning, food is quite good, staff friendly (mostly) and attentive (mostly) but all in all, not... More

One can see this used to be a grand hotel in its heyday from the beautiful and clean reception and foyers. Unfortunately, it has been neglected over the years, and thins have been left to age and deteriorate. The rooms, were spacious, comfortable and very nice. Overall, good value for money, clean and the staff very friendly and courteous.

The hotel and facilities are almost as ancient as the mountains surrounding it. Faded, tired and ill-kempt it is a sad symbol of hospitality in decay. The people are its saving grace but the food, ambience, pool and gardens belong to another era. The restaurant was dull and lifeless with a menu to match. Poor quality, limited choice at an... More

Great gardens, good entrance and a magic welcome. From there it goes backwards, only one restaurant functioned, most rooms were empty. Room numbering confusing and signage scare. Wifi reasonable, casino empty and very old and tired, swimming pool good, spoilt by the construction in progress. Lots of friendly helpful people and a reasonable buffet. They need guests and money or the... More

Though the facilities are still in working order there is need to improve the quality of maintenance. During my attendance of the training the hotel the occupancy was quite low. This was in the three days before the Good Friday-Easter weekend. The menu was very limited and the quality of food not very high. I have known this hotel to... More

Wonderful people, comfortable rooms, and awesome conference venues. Piggs Peak is almost a fantasy venue for kids and families and is awesome for business. The staff are really warm, helpful and caring! As is the GM!

The hotel looks good from the outside with good grounds. Front of house staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable but tv set very dated, no hairdryer in room and for a hotel wishing to offer a better class accommodation, bath sheets and not small bath towels are definitely the order of the day. When we went... More

I spent the Christmas weekend at Piggs Peak Hotel and Casino with my family. I hadn't been to that part of Swaziland in a very long time and so it was wonderful to visit the highveld and be surrounded by Piggs Peak's beautiful forests. The hotel itself is average with the rooms in desperate need of a revamp (at least... More

We arrived on the 6th January to find the hotel empty and decided not to stay. We had a drink near the restaurant and were served quickly (of course!) and very efficiently. The hotel looked clean and the very bored staff were friendly. It is time the the hotel did a bit of intensive advertising to attract tourists as it... More
