It was our best experience staying at Kowit Maechaem Farmhouse. Khun Kowit is very nice and he took a very good care of us. This place is for the one who is looking for staying in the nature not for luxury. Breakfast and dinner were so simple but tastes amazing 😇😇😇
Very disappointed, not worth the price paid and time wasted. We spent one night there. Traveling was difficult to get in there. But once we arrived it was not as beautiful as we had imagined. There is only a plain rice field that you can find everywhere in Mae Chaem District. The view is not as beautiful as other places we have been. With a price that is more expensive than other places. Dinner and breakfast didn't have anything special and not worth the price we paid. Which we have stayed somewhere else, better food more beautiful view only 500 baht per night. This is the first time for us and will be the last time for stay here.
I had a wonderful night at kowits farm stay. Very peaceful and serene in a stunning valley. It was all that I imagined and more. Kowit is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and dinner are included and cooked by his mother, the food was amazing and lots to eat. Ideal stay for people looking to get away from city life and experience real rural life in Thailand.
First of all some advice: read the information about this special place before booking it and you will probably have a fantastic and special experience! It is in a remote location and you will most probably not be able to drive there with your own rental car or average scooter - in winter/dry season you might be lucky, but it is in a valley far out in the countryside. But this actually is this place's biggest asset. Sit in front of your basic yet cozy hut and watch the rice fields and the hills. Take a walk to the little river. Enjoy the home made traditional food brought to your own terrace. Listen to the sound of nature and the village life. The host speaks very good English and picks the guests up with his truck. You can park your car at a safe parking with his family and just take a break from busy towns. Recommended for 1-2 nights in combination with Doi Inthanon national park! There are a handful of houses, each within sight of each other but not too close. So you may or may not see your fellow guests.…
Great place if you want the be in touch with nature. No air conditioning, no hot water and definitely not a luxury like a hotel. However there is a netting over your mattress, great educational experience on paddy farming, insects, experiencing sunrise and sunset and roughing it out in a farm setting. The owner Kowit is friendly and provides transportation from the main road to his farm, dinner and breakfast are provided and a brief tour of his farm if you ask. However paying almost 2k baht per night proves too much.
