We loved our little riverside bungalow sleeping above the river right in Nature. The staff work very hard and take care of all of the children in the children’s home as well as the resort. Our room was clean and comfortable. Beds are firm Thai style beds. The showers have hot water. Meals are excellent, make sure you arrive before 7 when the kitchen closes. We stayed here while doing a day visit to the Bees elephant sanctuary. It was convenient. Make sure leave a donation for the kids home while you are visiting.
We stayed at Hot Coffee last night with a group of friends on a 4 wheel drive tour of northern Thailand. We arrived late but Wyvern was very welcoming, showed us to our rooms and prepared a wonderful dinner cooked to our requests of no spice (for the kids) and no soy sauce (for gluten free). Rooms are clean, well equipped and en suite, with phone reception and free wifi. Would be happy to stay here again.
We stayed the night here on our trip around the Mae Hong Song loop. It’s a very quiet place after 19h. The food they serve is delicious, mostly is Thai food. The place is ran by volunteers and locals. The profits of this place go the children’s home next door. Which is only accessible under guidance of a volunteer. Don’t expect to visit the children’s home part of the premises by yourself.
Very nicely located and clean resort with friendly staff and excellent food. Serves delicous own coffee which is made by local hill tribe people (social support project). Great place to stay overnight when travelling from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Song or for visiting the area around Mad Chaem.
Stayed 2 nights. You really feel in the forest here, with some spooky sounding insects! Staff are friendly and responsive, food at restaurant is yum. Note this accommodation is quite basic. Probably suited as a one night stopover rather than a destination as not many sights around, as it is located about an hour from Mae Chaem by motorbike.
